Well they were all playing around this nuclear power plant when suddenly it exploded ( Shocked ) and they were all showered with radiation. When they went home they found out that the blast had given them powers of super talent. Laughing

I thought they were bitten by their instruments after they were dipped in radioactive sludges... then they gained all the musical properties of said instruments...

ACTUALLY...........

they didn't use books. They used their ears.

None of them read music except Jon a little.

I think the best thing to do is to expose kids to lots of good music, and then have several basic kinds of instruments around.

As they migrate toward something, encourage them to grow and learn.
Lessons can be added anytime, but most teachers think it's best to let them learn a lot on their own first.

Even getting some basic beginning lessons on dvd or vhs to show proper hand positions.
Then, let them take off.

he's totally right, do a lot of acid, that has helped my bass play imeasurably, of course, i'm on acid while playing, and the only outside reference is mr. pine, and i don't rightly think he knows what he's talking about, but he tastes so damn good...
