Posted: Sat Jun 05, 2004 8:32 am First of all, thanks goes out to all of you that felt compelled to help us fix Boyd's computer. Everyone has been so amazing. Inspite of all the controversy, here is what we have decided to do. Any donations that exceed Boyd being able to get his laptop back up and functional, will be donated to: willmemorialfund@eml.cc on PayPal. If you guys are not familiar with what this is, two Eisley fans were in a terrible car wreck recently. William was killed in the wreck. His family was hit hard with what it took to cover funeral expenses. Eisley's music meant a lot to William, and we would like to donate any amount over what comes in to fix the laptop, to this fund, and sincerely hope that anyone that can, will also donate to this fund. Funerals are expensive, and I know that any amount will help his family. Again, our most gutfelt thanks from all of Eisley and the DuPree's, for your help with our computer misfortune, and our prayers for Kimberly, (berlies), and William's family. |

This isn't a thread to argue in or debate what you think should of happened. Both causes are having money donated to it so where is the problem? It seems the DuPrees are damned if they do and damned if they don't in this case which is unfair to them. lets just be happy that we were able to contribute to two worthy causes and pull together in the times of need. _________________

Well, just so everyone knows, we tried to organize something early on about William, but no one really responded. This has helped to get that organized. sorry if you anyone is offended with the order things came about. We're just trying to do the best we can to deal with life. In spite of everyone thinking that our life is a big bed of roses, we have crap happen too, and there's been a lot of it the past few months, starting with my heart surgery, tons of medical bills, car problems, plumbing problems, all the things that come unexpectedly, and we surely were not financially prepared for. It was my idea a few weeks ago to start a fund for William, and we have been talking to "berlie", (William's girlfriend), about this since the wreck, and how to do it, when we got hit by the tree and Icurate took it on himself to bless our family. If anyone objects or can't deal with it, I respectfully suggest you move on to something else that you want to spend your time on. After having heart surgery and realizing that it is a miracle to be alive, I realize that life is too short to get all twisted over things like this. Follow your own heart. kd |

Is there no end to the ill thinking of the DuPree's for caring about themselves and their fans? I wasn't going to say anything on Sherri's thread but this has just gotten way to unfair for me to keep quiet. These people are responsible for all the wonderful music you all claim to love so much, and now you accuse them of such shady behavior?! Is it their fault that they have needs too? Is it their fault that people took it upon themselves to GIVE them money to help them first, and the family of the fallen fan last?! When I last checked, Kim tried get something started but NO ONE did anything. Sure they said they would but how many actually did? If everyone was so concerned to help out Will's family, why didn't any of you start the fund? I personally still have $150 dollars I was and still planning on donating to anything that would help Will's family. Now I have a direction to got to. And I offered my help to the DuPrees. I don't see what all the conspiracy theories are for. This isn't some gangland rob the fans blind forum. It's a forum about a band and all the things they go through that they share with you. It's not always gonna be great recording news and video clips of shows... And YOU joined of your own will. Think before you accuse. _________________ "To cheating, stealing, fighting and drinking...
