both of these are not nearly as good as the three albums that came before them, but i find myself having a hard time deciding which one is better... amnesiac is very disparate and probably has worst moments but still has some of the steam leftover from kid a, while httt is pretty much all around mediocre with no songs particularly terrible but no classics like pyramid song or liagh.

Ach, I love them both far too much to choose. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that they're my two favorite Radiohead albums... I think, however, that HttT has a more consistent feel to it. So it got my vote.

oh Amnesiac, hands down. True neither is Radiohead's finest album, but at least Amnesiac has tracks that stand out of the crowd. I love Packt like Sardines in a Crushd Tin box and Pyramid Song and You and Whose Army and Knives out and Like Spinning plates and my favorite radiohead song of all time (nexto Black star) is Life in a Glass House. I can't even name more than 4 tracks off Hail to the Theif, 2+2=5, We Suck Young BLood, There There, Wolf at the Door...anyway..that's why Amnesiac gets my vote. Kid A and the Bends still kick more ass than any other ablums in the history of the world

In saying that though like spinning plates is one of my all time favourite songs, especially when it's done live.

Don't get me wrong, Andrew; I love Amnesiac. Really. It's actually my favorite Radiohead album... but I don't always equate "favorite" with "best." Amnesiac has its faults, while Hail To The Thief is practically flawless as far as quality is concerned. There's nothing on Amnesiac like "2+2=5," or "There There," or freaking "Punchup at a Wedding." Ooooh. I'm gonna go listen right now!

(Er, actually, I'm gonna go listen to Muse, since that's what I last had in my car. Oh well.)

I've always loved Amnesiac -- I think that "Packt Like Sardines..." grabbed me for some reason. Something in the opening percussion is irresistable.

To be honest, I thought that Thom was lyrically poor on HttF, whereas Amnesiac was top-notch work -- seamless, complete, etc.

well i've always felt flawed makes better music, hence the greatness of tube amps. That's the exact reason i like HTTT less, it's just too perfect, it feels over done...somehow less gutteral than Amnesiac, doesn't invoke (evoke?) any emotion in me (save maybe 2+2=5) like Amnesiac, and when it gets down to it, that's what sells an album to me.

HTTT was a $#@! joke, the guitar was good, thats it. the live versions of the songs were much better too in my opinion.
amnesiac is a lot better than HTTT. KID A is my favorite by them though. Eh, Radioheads overrated anyway.

this was way tougher for me than i thought it would be. (i'm still deciding as i write this)

It was way easier for me to get into Hail...but Amnesiac took me longer...

both have some STUNNING songs on them....but also some i don't listen to as much...

At first, i think Amnesiac shows more emotion or depth, like Pyramid song is one of my all time radiohead favorites.....its so amazing and he sings it with his super cool voice and you can feel what hes saying even if you cant understand the words....... not too much like that on hail......

Mad Wink AH! This is a haarrrddd decision..i need to think. at first i was leaning towards Hail to the Thief...but now I'm leaning towards Amnesiac.
Kid A and OK Computer are my favorites, but....

in the end...i'll go for.....
hail to the thief....

but who knows...im always descovering new things about radiohead that i love...

I wanna vote "Pablo Honey" as the most mediocre.
It blows.
