So yesterday was a nice rainy day, and my friend and I were hanging out on his porch, listening to Eisley, and drinking our Starbucks Pumpkin spice lattes (Sooo good!). But anyway, we are enjoying ourselves very much when all of a sudden my friends little sister (she's 12) comes out with this disgruntled look on her face and is telling us how she's so mad because her mom stopped letting her listen to Avril Lagvine (however you spell it) because she doesn't approve of some of the lyrics. So anway we look at each other and are like, you wanna know a band 10 times better than Avril? and she's like who? and we're like you're listening to it, so we switch to marvelous things and crank it up and she's like "THIS IS TOTALLY AWESOME!" So anyway, Today I go over to my friends to pick him up, I walk inside, and hear Eisley being blasted as loud as the big boom box will go. I turn the corner and there's like 10 girls all playing with eachothers hair and all singing as loud as they can to every song. We get out to my car where we can actually hear each other, and my friend is like, "yea, they've been listening to both EPs ALL DAY!" and some of the live recordings we burned onto cd as well. So these grils made us promise that the next time we go see Eisley that we have to bring them along. So next time you guys come to Chicago watch out for me with an army of little girls, WE'LL MESS YOU UP! But anyway, thank you Eisley for showing that you can still have morals, and even better, still be a Christian and play in an awesome band. You guys are the best!

Wow! That is so encouraging.
I am printing this out for the band so I can remember to have them read it.
Thanks for taking the time to share this. Smile

That's a great story. Now whenever I see a gaggle of girls together I'll be sure to blast Eisley and show them the light.

Cool.

The idea of Avril Lavinge being inappropriate made me laugh though.

thats totally cool, i always try to introduce people to eisley, but sometimes there are those stereo typical people, who like fat joe, and p diddy, and there like "yo homie G you tryin to make me go soft?", and i'm just like "no dawg, this stuff is off the chain" and there like "shut up fool" and i'm like "yo home boy you be trippin" and there like "yo drummerboy you be stupid" I just can't seem to get them to convert....darn ghettoness.

What works for me is to ask them to listen to Eisley and, when they try to refuse, I hold up a picture of their wife and kids tied up. Then I give them the cutthroat gesture.

That usually works.

I thought the same thing too, until I saw her in concert.
The place was filled with mostly girls from moms down to 5 year olds, all anticipating their beloved Avril.

What quickly became apparent, was the biggest blast of the "f-bomb" that continued from her opening band, all the way to the end of her set.

If that's her thing, so be it.
I can just understand parents considering her music inappropriate for their 12 year old that they may not wish to have her as a role model.

Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of 10-year-old girl Eisley fans?
