yes yes yes i am desperately in LOVE with coheed and cambria desperately claudios voice is so awesome....and the only reason ive heard from anyone who doesnt like them is "his voice sounds like a chipmunk on helium" i love his way of singing the oh-oh-e-oh kinda thing... the fact that its all a big creation myth.... the instruments...... the afro.... they are one talented band...no matter what anyone says.... im seeing them in 2 days.... i saw them once before and WHAT AN AWESOME SHOW! ok im done _________________ Julie Do you believe in something beautiful? it's a band with a gimmick. If something is annoying enough then somebody will like it. The same thing goes with age, if something sucks for long enough then somebody is going to think it's "so incredible". |

Maybe gimmick was the wrong word, formulaic is better, from their look, to their ridiculous video, to the completely unoriginal backup music. Again, it's another example of fill-in-the-blanks emo guitar playing. The guy's voice is "original" I guess, but I personally think that it's annoying (I put the Darkness and Scissor sisters into the same category of bands that are so annoying that they become "cool"). They seem to me to be one of those bands that began because they thought that being in a band is cool and easy, not because of a desire to make music. |
