Post subject: What are Eisley reading? and who're they voting for?
Posted: Sat Oct 30, 2004 10:53 pm Just wondering if the forthcoming album has any literary influences.. I know the guys are into their drawing etc, i was just wondering what they were reading and does any of it affect the album...lots of bands do, how bout Eisley? also, who're they voting for (the eligible ones)? doesn't make much difference to me seeing as i'm in Britain, although US policy does eventually affect us, or us with armed forces family.. plus i thought i'd ask cos of the Texas thing.. adios Rob |

texas is considered very much a solid republican state, which is augmented even more by the fact that bush used to be our governor. people seem to think it a rare thing to find a democrat (or anything else) 'round these parts. point in case, my entire family -both sides, mind you- is republican except for my brother and I; we're quite the third party supporters. anyway, is that what you meant by the whole texas thing? _________________ I highly recommend it. |

lets not worry about the Eisley's political preference, if they care to tell us, they will, but chances are they won't even catch this. i think kim already said something about their political agendas, it's a private matter here in the states for a lot of people. Not for me, but i've noticed lots of people worry about it, so meh. _________________ welcome to the no pants club boone |

Voting, how overrated. Dont you feel that way everyone going out telling you to vote it kida makes me feel like a drone. I still voted but I didint do it because some celebrity told me. I did it because my parents told me. I get the feeling that puffy threatning the life of people is a little sadistic. |

they read (or did read) a lot of C.S. Lewis, I believe. particularly the Chronicles of Narnia. i was reading one a few weeks ago and i stopped a minute when i saw the phrase, "the lady of the wood." _________________ I am Torgo. I take care of the place while the Master is away. |

because of the electoral college system, eisley or anyone else's vote in texas doesn't matter. in fact, unless one is from a swing state the act of voting is basically futile. the only reason why this extremely outdated system is still in place is because if the actual majority vote of the population was counted instead of how it is now, elections such as this one wouldn't even be close, i.e. the status quo favors one of the political parties clearly and distinctly more than the other. _________________ "You're my favorite person." - David Carradine, Kill Bill vol. 2 |
