only thing i noticed about the review, was that the things she seemed to think eisley lacked, were the same things that she seemed to loathe about snow patrol's show. the fact that she liked snow patrol when they were more subtle and intimate, and she hated eisley's show because they weren't jumping around. that's a bit confusing. thank you. _________________ squeakn squeak |

bad reviews are ok. they can be good. i might end up being friends with critics who don't like the band. then i can try to win them over! btw. It isn't a forgone conclusion that Eisley would receive bad reviews while touring with bands who are very different. There were great reviews of the band on the Brand New tour. I sure won't say it can't happen though... _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. a critic has to either be very for or very against, saying bands are ok doesn't spark attention. and as far as her musical tastes.... she seems to like snow patrol alot and well,, they suck balls... so... _________________ Music died with Kurt Cobain <<>><<>><<>><<>><< If the sky falls can I count on your vote? |

that reviewer is obviously more about the show than the music. yet she appears to be one of the people who would attack pop stars who lip-sync so they can do their moves on stage or whatever. I mean, I think snow patrol is good and all.. (decent anyway) but if they could focus more on the music (... not to be a jerk, but the drummer specifically) i'd say they'd be a lot better. and honestly, I think it would be cool to see Eisley grooving on stage like animals to their tunes, despite the fact that the music doesn't seem to go with that kind of showmanship, i'm sure it would work, but you have to feel that kind of stuff, which is difficult (it was for me for a while anyway) but it would add to the show. I mean, one of the best parts of a Radiohead show is watching Thom Yorke running around like a madman, which I can't picture anyone in Eisley doing, but still, it couldn't hurt eh? or how about some derivative rawk moves?! you know. the banging of the head, the playing back to back, the drum sticks in the air (*ehem*) and the jump play. you know... the JUMP! *BLAMMMM!!!* I think that's what little Lisa wanted to see. _________________ "strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others." ~Joseph Conrad ---------------

Quote: Don't get me wrong, it isn't that their music isn't pretty; there's just much more to music than being pretty, like being interesting and alive. See, the Eisley kids should have gone to public school. That way, they could meet this reviewer and be like "omg ur just jealous". |

oh and Boyd. maybe this is a new Lumberjack in the making. Perhaps we should have some sort of outreach program for the Eisley haters out there. and we could Lumberjack-ize all of 'em. _________________ "strength is just an accident arising from the weakness of others." ~Joseph Conrad ---------------

that review was a little harsh. from the get-go, she says she hasn't been an eisley fan. you just knew it was downhill from there. but yea, just a tad harsh on a band that's just starting to get exposure. i could expect that stuff when they get super famous, but right now? dang, what a way to bring down a crowd/band. |

well, of course everyone's entitled to an opinion. you can't please everyone. i mean, even some people dislike THE BEATLES. (i know...can you imagine?!). but, im sure there have been, and with the release of the new album sometimes between tommorow and 2019, there will unfortunately be worse. you just have to look past the bad and focus on the good reviews. you can't convert everyone sadly. but, i guess it's just normal for people to make rude remarks when giving a bad review. no one is going to be "this wonderfully bad band makes the greatest awful music ever!"....they'll say something about unicorn barbies or something. people just aren't nice nowadays. but i love Eisley, and YOU love Eisley...and people will continue to go "hey...this Eisley...they're pretty great!" until 3.6 billion records have been sold worldwide. |

I'll give her 'Mary Had a Little Lamb'... ...with a vengeance... ...and to the extreme. _________________ Audioscrobbler Now
