sorry. I was out for a day...well, here but doing other important stuff like cleaning my desk off - which led to my closet that was horrid - which led to this armoir thing...and back to decorate my desk area with my old Coca-cola memorabilia.

1. video. I dunno. Managment say's - time for a video... we'll pick a song, hopefully write some scripts or have creative sessions...do an inexpensive, honest, vibey, creative video..(evil = the band playing live in a warehouse). It'll be low budget because that's what we want. This is on the indie/ep level.

2. Rick was great...kind, humble, generous. We were invited to his home (crazy @!#$@ mansion in Hollywood...on the hill) We had veggie pizza, tea, we sat and talked his entirely creative, eclectic, self-decorated home....listened to the new Palo Alto, Mars Volta, JayHawks, System of a Down (he had "surge" call the house too), he showed us the new Johnny Cash video before it was released, strolled through the studio....he had the girls do all their new tunes (that he didn't get to hear at the showcase) on that pianno where the Chilli Peppers recorded some video on..(i dunno)..... it was a very nice aft/eve. So, we only have great things to say about Rick and wished he could have produced the band. He referred to Eisley (to Dave) as..."the truth". awww...isn't that amazing? In the end, because we chose WB, he couldn't produce the record.

3. all bloating stops now. I've said too much. (I shot video of the entire event...him, his home...amazing.) Hey, we're going to the Brand New show to check them out and meet them I think... anyone going to that show? I know you guys aren't into Dashboard and Vendetta Red, but... oh well. It's at Next Stage in Grand Prairie on Sept. 18th.

Rick Rubin seems to be doing an amazing job with Weezer. I have heard absolutely no new demos, but I read on the forum at weezer.com that he was quoted in an interview to say something about how Rivers is getting even more personal with his new songs, even more so than Pinkerton. Pinkerton is a good album to listen to when you're sad, because it makes you forget about your own problems and think about Rivers' social problems.
Speaking of Weezer...
I had a dream 2 nights ago that I was somewhere by a really ugly beach, on some sort of playground, and Weezer was singing songs from The Blue Album and Pinkerton, but they were all drunk or something and the songs sounded terrible. And Rivers and the rest of the guys were being complete jerks to everybody. I don't remember how or why, but they were, and I was dissapointed because I always thought Rivers was hot. It was a mixture of this, and sending out Jack's son (from Will And Grace) into the ocean on a broken buoyant jetski and then tugging him back at high speed to shore, to see if we could make the shark from Jaws come out of the ocean and try to eat him. It was weird...

I forgot he produced Mars Volta too. That's also an incredible record.
