Sorry if this has been covered before.

Does anyone know what the first single is that Warner is going to promote? Record companies tend to promote a single within 2 weeks to a month of a CD being released. Just wondering.

Room Noises is surely my most anticipated release of 2005 as of now. And there are quite a few for me.

Shocked

Is this really the most radio friendly song on the album? I guess I've just heard it too much. I prefer the MossEisley "EP2" version.

The label wanted it. It's just the first one. I'd rather toss out the label compromise on the first one and pick it up with better choices afterward. It's a proven winner. When Eisley has six singles, it won't matter much.

And just remember, Jimmy Eat World released the song Bleed American before they got big with The Middle. Just prepping the audience. Smile

Yup. I keep saying that about first singles. It's just a setup.

According to my distribution sales book-"Telescope Eyes" is the 1 going to radio and video outlets.

Has Eisley already shot a video for this song? If so, my bet is that this is still slated to be the first single.

Other songs that appear to be slated for radio are:

"Golly Sandra"
"Lost at Sea"
"Marvelous Things"

I could be wrong, but this is how it's being sold in at the retail level.

Hope this helps!

Boyd would know-Record labels are notorious for changing their minds.

i would have thought, although it is a grand song, that they would have chosen something else. the 'please don't make me cry' lyric, may make some shallow minded people think 'this is ** ass music, for geeks and nerds.'
but i don't know. i'm just going on my hollywood depicted stereotype of american teens. later y'all!
although on second thoughts, the people who are interested in this type of music may fall in love with it, because of possible hard times in their life, and they can relate to being bullied for having glasses or brace or whatever.
ciao!
