Today I was listening to Real Rhapsody and there is a new "station" entitled Rolling Stone's New Faces. So I'm listening to it, and fast forwarding through most of them, but liking a few very much.

And then the next thing I know I hear Telescope Eyes!

So, despite the review, they are on the list.
I like this new version of the song.

Good old Rolling Stone, so predictably quick to change their opinion. Smile

Rolling Stone is not Satan. It is a magazine that doesn't agree with you about Eisley. Just because I don't like George Bush doesn't mean I don't watch the news when they talk about him.

And Eisley is a "New Face" on a major label, regardless of if they are deemed good or not.

Who are you getting harsh at envycorps?
No one here said they were Satan.
Just simply that they give a poor review yet promote them.

There was a huge thread about this earlier, in which everyone bashes Rolling Stone because they don't like our beloved Eisley.

They are not promoting Eisley by playing them on the radio. Money is changing hands, plain and simple.

Wow, I didn't mean to incite some argument.
I didn't read that entire previous thread. I certainly wasn't part of any bashing.

I was HAPPY to hear Eisley and especially so on something bearing the RS name. That's all.

I don't have a problem with Rolling Stone just because they don't like Eisley. My problem with Rolling Stone is that they have lapsed into irrelevance, plagued by shoddy writing and ridiculous cover stories that have absolutely nothing to do with music. Their reviews, not just of Eisley, are a joke. They used to be worth something. Now they're not.

I'm aware that Rolling Stone is not promoting Eisley now because they like them. I'm happy that Eisley is getting the publicity. I wish RS weren't such a shallow, useless publication. If I had the choice of appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone or a different, more obscure magazine like Spin, Blender, or Q, RS would lose.

I think we've covered all of that in previous threads. I just had to reiterate my stance so as not to be misunderstood.

Spin is obscure? I find it more irritating that RS, honestly.

You're right; obscure was the wrong word for it. I still prefer it, though. At least they put actual musicians on their cover.
