I realized that. They sound like me and I'm from Connecticut. Anybody else notice that?

I lived in Washington for 4 years. When I first got there I met my friend's mom. She was like, "Where's your accent?" Apparently, I had committed a crime by being from Texas and not having an accent. She promptly called the cops and had me put in jail. It took $1000 to get myself out of county lock-up, but I needed to do it if I was going to get a lawyer good enough to help me get this dumb law overturned. It took 6 months, but I'm glad to say that it is no longer a crime in Washington to be from Texas and not have an accent.

my friend's parents recently moved to San Antonio and he stayed here. He visited them for the holidays and said he was sorely dissapointed when nobody had an accent down there. I was surprized when no one from Eisley had an accent either. Really you guys just sound like Californians with a couple of "y'all's" thrown in Razz

i think they do have accents, they aren't very pronounced but they're there, maybe just cos i'm from a town split so heavily between thick accented folk and folk like me who don't have an accent...
