I've lived an hour or less from Tyler most of my life. It's not small town (maybe the people are). But it's not big city, either. The drivers are on crack, but the traffic is never as thick as Dallas. It can be downright quiet. Depends on what you like. It's not bad, but I'm not sure I'd want to live there. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

Tyler is about an hour and a half from where i live. It's big to me because i live in a rinky dink town but it really isnt that big. I like it but there is sometimes bad traffic. Otherwhise it is cool. _________________ "Chickens love you." ~ A Cool Person |

I grew up not too awfully far from Tyler... I spent quite a few of my weekends there during my senior year - last school year, that is... Being from an actual tiny town, Tyler was always a big city to me... Since I was first allowed to drive there on my own, I have learned that that isn't really the case... Yes, the drivers are on crack... And the teen girl squads annoy me when they take my picture at a stoplight, but that's because it makes me more self-conscious than I already am... It's sort of nice... I wouldn't put my hypothetical kids in public school there... Then again, I don't think that there are massive numbers of really great East Texas public schools... Perhaps I'll change that when I start teaching in a few years... That's not really the point... All of that said, I still have a sort of nostalgic view of Tyler - really, it is all of East Texas... That's probably due to my long periods of absence from the area... (That was too much...) _________________ Kyle |

Tyler stinks. I'm moving as soon as I graduate college and whatnot. Too many old people here. I hate old people. What did old people ever do to you? You might want to examine that remark. I hate old people. don't you like taking lefts onto Broadway out of the Hasting's parking lot? i got too impatient so i just go behind the whole thing over those annoying speed bumps. basically anywhere close to Broadway and the Loop you probably want to plan your route so you don't have take a left turn. _________________ I am Torgo.
