It's great for pleasant driving, even with the looks I get from tough guys in big trucks. One thing though, is Sherri a lesbian? Every song about a significant other is androgenous, and Just Like We Do sounds like a song about a gay couple in love, especially when saying "people love each other just like we do, just like they do" sounds like someone correlating same sex love and compassion to the heterosexual counterpart, pointing them out as equivalent and "we'll hold the hands of sinners and then we'll pass" conveys the idea that they aren't alone and that there are other people just like them. It could all though, be merely coincidence. _________________

and stacy sings just like we do. and i think you just misunderstood perhaps. whoever writes the songs then. I wonder why the songs are purposely androgenous. And to be honest I've listened to this thing over 13 times through and I still can't pick out who sings what by voice. Sherri seems to have more range but other than that I can't really tell. _________________

I don´t think they´re androgenous... and let me get this straight... you think that she´s using the word "sinners" to refer to homosexuals? maybe I misunderstood your point... _________________

and let me get this straight... you think that she´s using the word "sinners" to refer to homosexuals? maybe I misunderstood your point... it's tongue and cheek. Considering how the entire band thanked God before anyone else, I figured the religious references I was picking up were purposeful, and that when you listen to the song in the context I've described, it makes absolute perfect sense. _________________

then, from that point of view, if sherri would be a lesbian (and I don´t think she is), she´d be considering herself a sinner. _________________

Here's the "straight" truth... Sherri is not gay, neither is Stacy, or any other member of Eisley. Sherri has the higher range, Stacy the lower. The reference to "sinners" is meant to convey all of us. And how you came up with thinking they were writing songs to their "lesbian lovers"?...I can't figure that one out. Sherri is dating Jesse Lacey from BRAND NEW, and has been ever since they went on tour with them over a year ago. http://www.brandnewrock.com/index.php?movieLoad=4 Stacy is only 16 and in no rush to start dating. P.S. I'm glad you like the cd, and welcome to the forum |

How many love songs are actually directed at a sex...I'm excluding all the boy bands ofcourse for being souless and all using the "I love you girl" motif...Yah those truck drivers are lesbians _________________ A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. You know, I've actually noticed the songs to be more feminine in their lyric style than androgynous. And that's only natural, after all, the lyricist's are female. Take Brightly Wound, for instance. "I had tangles in my hair, but you make me feel so pretty." The whole album seems to have a slightly feminine perspective in the lyrical content. This isn't a bad thing, rather it's refreshing. If anything, I'd say the lyrics have a Romantic theme. (Romantic as in period in English literature.) _________________ signed: Omygosh, Emperor of Shmo **the turtle stamp of approval** www.soulstrum.com |

In defense of Catch, this is not the first time someone has asked if Sherri is a lesbian. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

It makes you gay to dumb people who make assumptions like wearing a Dumbo shirt being a sign of Republican values _________________ A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. So, really ... it could be a sign of Republican values. _________________ If the end of the world has proper noodles I'll probably be okay with it. |
