Now, I'm not posting this to spark a debate, just so you all know something Chauntelle is quoted as saying. Please do not get in a religious discussion.

Right on, my sentiment is they're good people who are going to pass on their good values through their music and living right.

i've only heard rumors of the other messy discussions... to which I say,
"meh.. chernt. chernt. b-b-bbbb" - which, translated, means: Bono fights
injustic and poverty... and is, in fact, a God fearing man; Chris Martin
wants to make trade fair and is married to a movie star, Madonna is
dabbling in Kabala; Michael Jackson is dealing with his past; POD: they
were, they were... "the youth of a nation"; Brittany and Jessica and the
likes all claim to be Christians; Many artists worship the mirror and see
clouds in their coffee...

I know the issues all to well. These run deep, but "Even a fool, when he is
silent, is considered wise". Use discernment. Strong opinions, when
delivered with no wisdom, weaken your case. I can direct any of you to
forums who's missions champion all of these issues if you want to pm
me... but, Laughing City is not a place for meaningless controversies.

"Let’s not fight, that's not nice.
Let’s not be sore, that's not right.

Hold on, hold on to the ones you love.
Hold on, hold on to the ones you love.

That is where you'll find me..."

Very good statement Boyd. I really wouldn't want to see this board become a place where it's filled with debates that don't really have much relevence to the music.

I just figured out what seemed off to me about this. She doesn't mention religion at all. She talks about God, but the two are actually quite separate. It made me quite happy when I realized this, because, as Silvestre says, it isn't limiting. Hwever, the reason it seemed off was that it did seem to be a response to the earlier thread which was intensely about religion. Now the two don't seem to go together at all.

I read that in Relevant issue. I thought i was really cool; I also loved how they described listening to Eisley as the same feeling you get when you read the Chronicles of Narnia. Mostly because the Chronicles mean so much to me, and that statement really is true.

I'm really sad that I can't find Relavent anywhere. Not just because Eisley's in this issue but because it seems like a good read.

wow, you can get all that from, "meh...chernt.cherntt.b-b-bbbb"? So if i was talking to you, and you said something like, "uh...do-do-dodo...zzzzzt!" you could be explaining to me your plan to overthrow the world leaders because they eat babies...? amazing.
