"Sherri, who to this day composes mainly on the piano, first tried her hand with her dad's drum kit before her and Chauntelle both went to him for guitar lessons." MTV News

Is it true? I always thought she composes on guitar...hmmm...

I don't know for sure, but I think the article is probably right. I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised if she can play piano as well. (I might be surprised if she couldn't)
Many people learn piano before learning other instruments.
It's sort of a base instrument.

Well, Sherri and Stacy have both said in interviews that they do all of their writing mainly on the old organ that they have.

A lot of people who play things other than piano onstage, from Paul McCartney to Gary Numan, do their composing on piano.

Sherri's part of a proud musician's tradition!

I've seen at least one picture of Sherri playing keyboards at a show, back in the days of Moss Eisley. She's a regular multi-instrumentalist.

guys, sherri is badass...she plays drums better than weston, and she indeed used to rock the piano in the moss days...and just think Stacy is better at guitar than piano...

and yes they both compose most of their songs on the old Wurlitzer organ...but not everything...certainly not whatever they may be writing right now

I heard a great story about how no one knew that Bob Dylan played piano til one night before a concert someone heard some music from down in the catacombs of the venue and found Dylan rocking the ivory keys. My friend Dan said that when he saw Bob Dylan this past year he played almost the whole set on keys.

I wish I had started on piano. I try to right on keys sometimes. There are a couple of old organs in our college chapel and one in our student center, but I just kind of fiddle around on them.

Hmm. I think there is something missing from Eisley's sound... but I can't quite put my finger on it....

Oh, I got it.

Seriously. I could be Eisley's cowbell player.... and really explore the studio space on their next album.
