Come on Chad, you should know that; you were the one talking to me about PDP-11s last night. UNIX was on PDP-11s before Microsoft was even founded. And people always forget about Xenix, the flavor of UNIX that Microsoft wrote themselves. _________________

And once Intel Apple laptops are here... you'd probably be able to dualboot OSX and Windows. ...whoa. You know, if Microsoft and Apple were to ever merge, it would probably mark the beginning of the end. Think about that. |

Microsoft bought QDOS in the earlier 80s with the birth of the IBM PC. _________________

I use Gentoo linux and PHLAK depending on what mood I'm in. KDE, fluxbox, and enlightenment (another mood thing). KDE if I want the eye candy like kxdocker and all the cool applets and enlightenment or fluxbox for major computing and UT-2004. I also am a Windoze user. Anyways this is an interesting thread. "Expand your horizon. Use linux." - Its fun. |

A little $$$ for me. I just love the look of iTunes (or anything Apple for that matter....once again too $$$$ or I'd have one). Crossover Office will be my next purchase for my compie. Cedega is also pretty neato for games. |
