hey everyone! =) I'm Eva from France. I'm 19 and I stumbled on Eisley browsing videos at random on yahoo!music, some months ago... love at first note. I'm totally in love with their music. I also like björk very much, keane, jimmy eat world, the corrs, the cardigans, etc. I love reading and writing poems... I play guitar and write my stuff too... and study to become a translator. I've been lurking around here for a while... now I'm lurking with an official registration... lots of love! _________________ i'm mouthing away; if i spoke, you would hear me. |

Hello I guess I should have posted here earlier but well hello. To clear upcoming confusion this one username is shared by two identities so well I will be room and my friend will be noises. Anyway I guess it was an odd idea to share a name but, oh well.... You will probably find us sharing an account in E-merge too. Oh Elijah=room Tina=noises ~*Room*~ _________________ pretend this is the best signature ever |

Erm...I wonder if anybody actually reads this thread? In case they do, here we go. *ahem* *straightens bowtie* I'm Fiona, and I bought Room Noises last week and I think I'm turning into a fan! 'Tis very exciting, and this board seems nice, so maybe I'll kick up my heels and stay... |

I'm Damara. I'm from Connecticut. A long long time ago I was reading a Brand New article in Alternative Press where Jesse Lacey says "I really like this song called "Marvelous Things" by Eisley. So I decided to download it. The band I had in mind was Morrisey, so I got kind of thrown back when a girl was singing. And I absolutely loved her voice. Three weeks later, the song was starting to collect dust on my computer when my friend asked me to make a beautiful cd for him. Last minute, I decided to throw that song on it. We were both sitting around, not paying too much attention to the music. Then "Marvelous Things" came on. I'm not sure why this didn't happen the first time I listened to the song, but we started freaking out. It was the greatest song we've ever heard. We both bought the cd two days later. Wow. What a long story. Alright. I'm done. Bye. _________________ I love the powerglove. It's so bad. |

My name's Melissa but I go by the name Mela and ocassionaly Mel Mel. I grew up in a tiny village in rural Manitoba and now I live in the thriving metropolis of Winnipeg where i'm in my last year of business. I found out about Eisley through a friend of mine and I really liked their music ... obviously. haha. So that's why I joined this forum. I'm lazy and I don't feel like writing anymore so check out my lj and myspace if you want to know more about me. www.livejournal.com/users/heymela www.myspace.com/heymela |

Hello, All! Okay so...I've never done this before--this posting/message-board thing is very new to me. In fact tonight was my first night to read anything in the forum at all. My boyfriend would sooo make fun of me right now for making a post, but he posted on a star wars fan site for months before and after we made a lightsaber fan film so there! Anyway, my name is Erin and I'm a huge fan, (i.e. I spend a good deal of time telling everyone I meet how incredible this band is and how important it is for them to visit the site and see for themselves). I've done campaigning for this band like I haven't even done for The Beatles, and that's saying something. Nobody was getting more air-time in my car than The Beatles until 'Room Noises' came along. Anyway, I digress. I've been a fan since Sherri wrote the website address on my hand after I saw The Elms--who are friends of the band--play at a school auditorium in--that's right--Lindale, Texas. I went home, typed in the half-missing-because-I-didn't-transfer-it-to-paper-website-address, and was dumbfounded by the talent I found meekly hiding behind tiny words reading: "Telescope Eyes" Hi Lo This is the kind of music that has not only been in my heart for as long as I can remember, but it's also the music I've been waiting my whole life to hear. My music education has come full circle with the appearance of Eisley, or moreover, 'Moss Eisley', as they were called when the circle actually became complete. No one cares, I know, but this music means a lot to me, a lot more than just something to sing and dance to-although, there is certainly plenty of that going on. |
