Compared to the rest of my peers, I feel like I'm really old and young at the same time. For example, on a typical Friday night pretty much everyone in my grade level and below is hanging out at Irvine Spectrum or the movies smoking, drinking, or just being immature and I'm either at home reading books or watching movies with my mom. Frankly, night life and 'partying' just doesn't interest me much and never has. On the other hand, I like to get dressed up a lot and I daydream so often that it's starting to become ridiculous. I'm happy the way I am right now, but sometimes when I'm with friends or at school, I feel really out of place. Also, a lot of my friends and I are outgrowing each other. All I want to talk about is music bookslife and all they want to talk about is boysboysboys. |

Really I just think I'll just always be a kid at heart. me too. About the kid heart part. I'm 15. I'm more mature than most of my friends, but I'm a silly person. I'm the only one of my friends that hasn't changed in attitude and stuff, but they are all...umm...really strange, getting involved in things they shouldn't. I dunno ::shrugs:: I hope I stay the same way, but you never know what'll happen in the future. ~Ramon _________________ ---------------------------------------------- - - - If you woke up today; yesterday was a great accomplishment. ~ Ramón ~ |

yeah i know how everyone feels, i think we should all have a group hug, its nice to e at the same emotionsal level as many other people many miles away form eachother. i do not do the party scene, i don't like hearing about it, or politics, because i don't want to have to think aobu tthat stuff, if i didn't have a notebook to make sure i did my homework, i would never do it, i like homework, but is class, my mind is never there. unless i am in theatre, i pay attention to the little things, like how people jiggle their foot when they listen to a speech, or how people twitch a little bit when the teacher looks at them during a lecture. if it were up to me, i would draw, listen to music, and explore outside everday, that would be the best. gosh i wish i were homeschooled. _________________ -sam. I read that and almost laughed. The worst, the thing that makes me feel so old... when I see somebody's birthday listed as being from the 90s... the 90s! Wow. I guess that I didn't start feeling old until I turned 23, and for some reason it seems like every 23 year old I know went through that. I've come to accept the fact that I'm really still just a kid, but that moment I turned 23 and about 6 months afterwards were hard. The nice moment was when I started dating my current gal (she's 32) and she said to me, "I can't believe that you were born in the 80s, that's so weird to me" |

Age is pretty meaningless to me. And I don't think maturity is measured by posting on a message board. I'm 25 but feel alternately between 12 and 30. I have been posting less, but it's partially due to me being really busy and distracted. And partially because all of my old friends have decided that it's not cool to post here anymore. Though I wish they would continue to do so. Let's hold on, and we can ride this out. It peaks and valleys. I'm confident we can hold out, even if this is a bad slump (if it's even a slump at all). /Tired talking _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

I have a few close friends who don't annoy me but I still feel so old. I'm sick of everyone saying they're in love and break up after two weeks. I saw it coming. I've been homeschooled for the past five years and its grown me up. I decided to go back to school and my mom is worried that I won't have any friends because I'll think everyones stupid. I've met one girl who's more mature and I think she'll be the first friend I make there. _________________ Theres one who cares for me today*~ |
