I'd never been so scared of the dentist in my life. I had 3 cavities in my molars and have never had any before. My friend prepared me by saying that the shot of novicane hurts, but everything else is allright. So a little more confident, I walked into the room with my orange chair and my iPod set on Room Noises and laid down. First thing that the dentist said is "This will go much faster if we don't use novicane." And then I died. The first cavity thingy didn't hurt because I had "Memories" in my ears and in my mind. The second filling was horrid. My eyes started watering when they blew freezing cold air on my back teeth. I winced when I saw that drill. And then Marvelous Things came on, and I turned it up, closed my eyes and pictured a dark stage with the band playing. It was a good day dream, until the giant BLUE BIRD WITH A HUGE BEAK STARTED PECKING MY TEETH! I shook my head and the dentist gave me a "wtf" look. That was funny. The next toothy thingy filling went allright, my dentist kept asking if I was allright when I'd shutter or wince at the pain. So Thank You all who read my story and to the band I know and love: Eisley. You helped me in my time of need. _________________ I know that I'm a sucker for anything acoustic. |

I'd hate to make you late for tee-time I think I would find a new dentist. That's ridiculous! Glad you made it through |

my dentist didn't even ask me if i wanted novacaine she was just like..."::to the other nurse:: i think we need to numb her mouth" and then they did. and i was like "wtf" out all of my dentist appointments this past year (i've had many, after not going to the dentist for like 8 years or so, i had SOOOO many cavities...still do...), i never took any novacaine or whatever. i just sucked it up. but eh. it was ok, the shot didn't even hurt. and she was like "don't eat until the numbness goes away" and i was like "eff that, i didn't eat anything this morning" and ate some yummy fooood. the numbness didn't go away until like 4 or 5 hours later. fully. heh. oh well. _________________ Will you marry me when you are seventy and have nothing to lose? |

I have never used novacaine. But then again I've never had realllly bad cavities. Just a few small ones. And it didn't hurt at all. I would take a dentist over a doctor any day. I have a huge phobia of shots. I'm more afraid of the shot than the pain or drilling. That's why it's a phobia...totally irrational. _________________ -Brooke |

I go to the kiddiest dentist ever. I was going to pick out a movie to watch on the tv thats in the ceiling but they didn't have May Poppins. So I said "Forget it, I don't want no stinkin' All Dogs go to Heaven." Turns out I've been going to that dentist since I was 4, and yeah. Thats weird. My mom's going to get me at her dentist's office now. _________________ I know that I'm a sucker for anything acoustic. |

no novicane? what the flip? ow ouch. my similar story: i went to get my wisdom teeth "extracted" a few weeks ago. The doctor had said i could bring a CD if i wanted to listen to during the procedure so i made a copy of room noises. i left this CD conveniently next to my purse, next to the back door so that i could not possibly forget it. obviously, i left it at home becuase i basically suck at life. but, they had a beatles CD that i listened to. but it would have been oh so much better with eisley. |

I hate going to the dentist and getting cavities filled. Even with the novicane I can still feel it and it hurts. My eyes always water and I get really scared. rrr. _________________ i am cold, too cool to call you, far too stoned to leave my bed. i'll write this song to win your kiss but stay asleep instead. |
