I LIKE BOYD'S VERSION BETTER. There I said it. But you know.. music videos.. are music videos. I don't watch VH1 or MTV anyways. I thought the origianl IWP video was better... no interruptions from the actors. Dunno. Seemed so sterile and .. well unlike the warm and fuzzies you get from Eisley. Dunno maybe that was the intent. Anyways... I did enjoy the video. |

Just because it seems like people have msised it: The video on myspace is NOT the final version of the video. Too bad I haven't seen it yet ... _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

AHHHHHHHHH. it's like "2001: a space oddessey." ahhh. disturbing random images. ahhhh. sorry, but that was my reaction to it. wow, the acting was awful. whoever compared it to keanu reeves was right on the money. yeah, i am not a fan. hopefully the real version is better. _________________ http://thegirlinthebearhat.tumblr.com/ |

I most definitely loved that walk-on thing cause they reminded me of the Beatles. Especially Garron. I think the video would be awesome if they ditched the actors and the storyline and just had them up there singing the song in the cool outfits with lots of closeups on everyone and I think it would be pretty amazing. my thoughts. |

yeah i dont like the talking actors. they shots and video are pretty good though. the only part i maybe liked with the talking actors was the sad part when she was like "i'm lucky.... then the guys that liked her goes," he's the lucky one." but otherwise i didn't like the voiceover stuff that much. _________________

as much as i love eisley and this song. i simply hated the video. the band looked awesome and the set was cool and everything, but i just hated those people talking. it really brings our attention away from the music, and if watching this video was the first time i ever hear/seen eisley, i don't think i would dig it too much. _________________ "I should have listened to my friends" www.myspace.com/georgeproject www.purevolume.com/jesusworshiper |

I actually like the talking over--it's just a cool idea, that they're playing in the background of a story--but the story itself sucked. "It's better to be sad than lonely?" Even if the dialogue had been better, the woman's acting would have annoyed me. _________________ ASTER (i'll think of a clever signature someday.) |

hi. wow. such dissent. Marvin's intent was to get some attention for the band. Looks like he accomplished that goal. I think he's amazing and we're all big fans. It was a bold idea - to actually make a video with actors and dialogue. Maybe it's not working for everyone, but I give him major bonus points for creativity. Whether you like the acting or not... it looks very amazing; the colors, the band, the camera angles, the mr spacely vibe. Gotta go! love you guys. bd _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. Ok, so instead of jumping into the average critiques of dialogue and actors and such.... I am surprised. Because...well, I actually sort of like it. By reading everyones dislikes and concerns on the video, I was afraid because I started thinking it might not be that great. However, the set is amazing and fantastic looking. I dig the whole 60s era futurist idea. Of course the band walk on might have been the most amazing, I found that after watching it a few times, I didn't mind the dialogue. It is definitely different and not run of the mill. I find it hard to list any videos that remind me of this one. That's good, right? Creative. The only objection I have to the whole thing is that you scarcely see Weston and even more scarce is that Garron! _________________ And it's so sad to see the world agree That they'd rather see their faces fill with flies All when I'd want to keep white roses in their eyes.
