Iron and Wine just kind of bores me most of the time. They make for good background music, but there is no dynamic. i enjoy them both. it is a nice song by itself (the original version i mean). but i think that the postal service version is pretty creative. i mean, i guess i wouldn't think of being able to re-make it in that way. although i like both of them, i went with the postal service. They are both amazing... And you're asking me to choose between the voices of Ben Gibbard and Sam Beam! Not fair! Tamborello's work is great too, of course. ^'natch, since Jenny appears on "Give Up". I've had limited exposure to the I&W version, but I'm quite sure that I prefer TPS one. S'like, the posterboy for indie music (or so The D ive suggests). |

I like them both. I prefer the Postal Service version more, but as an acoustic guitar player I respect what went into the Iron and Whine version. I just recently aquired the Postal Service album and I have to say it is one of the best albums ive heard in a long time. I just took a 32 hour road trip and the two cd's I listened to most were PS and Eisley. |
