it's pronounced "chasdew"

i fired up limewire tonight and did a search for eisley. the top 3 results were:
telescope eyes 29 sources
memories 17 sources
i wasn't prepared 15 sources

that's pretty cool, back in the day there were only a handful of songs and you were lucky if you could get a complete download. btw, i've bought every cd eisley made for sale so don't give me grief for downloading eisey songs :P

funny thing though, there's a song called beautiful listed for eisley and the album marvelous things. I downloaded it and gave it a listen, it's not them (i don't think). I wonder if someone put up a song and are using the eisley tags to help spread it around?

i've totally heard that 'beautiful' song. a friend of mine that i got into eisley downloaded all the songs he could find, and we were listening to them in his car. that song came on, and i was really confused. another friend had it too.

i really don't think it's them. the voice is clearly not stacy or sherri, and i really, really don't think it's chauntelle. plus the guitar line and the drum line is totally uncharacteristic of eisley.

dunno how it got out there.

All right.. here is the thread: http://eisley.com/laughingcity/viewtopic.php?t=18197

apparently it's a band called darling violetta. good way to expose their music. label it as eisley, and everyone will get excited 'cos they'll think it's a rare unheard eisley track, and download it. tricksters.

sneaky sneaky!

i knew it couldn't be eisley. aside from all the obvious factors, i really disliked the sound of it, and i don't dislike any eisley songs.

I did a search on Facebook at Bowling Green State University and like over a year and a half ago there were only 3 Eisley fans including myself. Now i believe their is around 30.

RERAIL! RERAIL!

So, yeah, I just got Limewire a few days ago and became one savage Pir8 Sad. It's, like, the superficial moral question of our generation. I mean, exposure is a good thing, but so are actually sales. The "bad" news is, super-indie artists probably won't have all of their songs on...wherever, but the good news is, if you really like them, you'll be even more inclined to actually *buy* their album(s).

Here's a question, is it somehow more morally acceptable to get albums from, say, people you know on AIM, as opposed to downloading en masse from strangers via a program like Limewire? I mean, without this, would something like this ever happen? (Names censored to protect the not-so-innocent Sad).

I assume that if the transfer did not occur, than the recipient would have never discovered Eisley, and the world would be a much sadder place.

(Just to clarify, I've paid for Room Noises, all the EPs, etc)

Discuss.

Oh. I always thought that track was just a mislabeled "Memories" track... since the song says Beautiful a lot. I never actually downloaded it.
