Hey ya'll, I'm Jesse (i'm a girl, just in case u didn't know cause my name is spelled the boy way!) from San Diego, CA. I heard clips of Eisley songs in a certain store a few times, but I really got into them when I went to the Switchfoot concert at the House of Blues here in SD. It was an awesome perfomance and I LOVED them!! There music is so different from what I usually listen to, but I think their music is just a change for me. Their songs are like fairy tales with music.....just the subjects that you never imagoned would actually be in a song they write about. Anyway, I hope Sherri, Chauntelle, Stacy, Weston and Garron know how much I ADORE them and their music.
Thanx 4 reading 'dis!!

Welcome! Surprised

You will be greatly missed Jonathon David Wilson. Great bassist, great guy.

Hi. I'm 36, live near Milwaukee, WI, married, 2 kids. Just slightly outside of the target demographic, I'm sure. But from what I've seen on Laughing City, it's an ever expanding demographic.

I first heard Eisley on Yahoo Launch, was watching random videos and then Snoop Dogg comes on to say something about the new up coming artists of the month contest, or something like that. So I go check out the bands and I really loved the Telescope Eyes video. So I also played the other ones there (Marvelous Things, Telescope Eyes, I Wasn't Prepared) and loved the music. So I checked out your website. More free music listens, seems everywhere I turned. So as to not be a total freeloader, I bought Room Noises when it came out and bought the Marvelous Things EP. They were put into heavy rotation on my MP3 player and I have been a big fan ever since. I shared the CD with some friends at work and they loved it as well.

I have not yet seen you in concert as you always stop off in Chicago but not yet in Milwaukee or Madison. I don't like driving into Chicago at night. And I work at night so night shows during the week are hard. Also, my wife isn't such a big fan. She is more a fan of Christian Rock and she likes anybody who was on American Idol. But if Eisley comes to play in Milwaukee on a Saturday night, I would definately come with my wife and several coworkers. If you come during the week to Milwaukee, I would still come but maybe not with any coworkers.

Anyway. Glad to have stumbled onto your video (I don't know exactly when it was, maybe 02/05).

Hello everyone. My name is Kimberley and I live in Australia. I heard about Eisley froma Scottish friend of mine over MSN and I deicided to listen to some of their songs. I fell in love with the band straight away. The harmonics were fantastic and the band had a kind of dreamy sort of feel to their music, which I love. I went to find as many songs of theirs as I could from then on in and I now have a collection of about 26 songs, some early recordings, and some from their former title 'Moss Eisley'.

The fact that they are Christians helps me in a way, because I am a Christian. It's kind of hard to explain, but I guess it's comforting knowing that there are still good, talented people out there who aren't afraid of saying what they believe to the public. Sometimes that's one of the hardest things to do. They also inspire me in a way to be more creative with things, like computer graphics and clothing. Lol. Customising clothes can be fun. Also Vintage stores are fun... Hee hee hee.

Anyways, that's my introduction... Wink

Hey, welcome everyone! This is a great place, so just have fun and post away. A useful hint: Use the search function to see if your post has been done before, and even just read the titles on the first couple of pages. That will avoid headache over repeat posts, and everyone will love you for it. Very Happy

Hi! I'm Gaby and I'm old, from San Antonio, TX. I just now heard Eisley's music for the 1st time and I really, really liked it. I figured I would since they were recommended to me by a lot of different, trusted sources. Beautiful music! It's kinda neat to see they're Christians and from Texas, too. Anyway. As for myself, though I married a Texan and now live in Texas, I'm actually a French citizen so watch out for pieces of broken English scattered here and there in my posts. I'll try and keep those to a minimum, oui oui Wink

And that signature link is my band's website, in case you wondered. Looking forward to lots of interesting discussions!

I thought I would give people an opportunity to pull a Sherlock Holmes and break out their magnifying glasses.
