I feel you--I'm hesitant about wanting Eisley to make it huge (they're MY Eisley!).

However, I DO think they deserve the success, and I trust completely, with how sweet and down-to-Earth they've all proven themselves to be (including you, Boyd), that they would be able to handle themselves VERY respectably if they reach the top. Boyd has made it clear that what makes Eisley is their passion for their music, not to mention the devotion and accessability with which they have graced (and continue to grace) their fans. For nearly seven years now, they've been hard at it as a group of musicians, and it's an amazing success story already...I'm sure all of Eisley's fans fear a little change, but we have to trust them, because their intentions are so humble. A little success, when gained by the right people, should be a blessing rather than a curse. Our DuPrees will know exactly how to receive their success when it comes. A big part of me can't wait.

They'll always be our Eisley. Always.

(Oh, and nice to know you're still alive. Smile You count just as much as everyone, as long as you're here.)

totally agree, not really wanting them to be big because i saw what it did to switchfoot. screwed them up royally.

Not sure what the above experience with Switchfoot was, but I got to meet them a couple of times on the tour that Eisley was on.
I talked with John? (lead singer), and he stopped and took the time to finishe a conversation with me, while he was suppose to be getting on stage. We had a couple of brief conversations, and he was so down to earth, sincere, and so full of humility, and very encouraging.
I think that one thing that happens, is the demands increase on the band, and it gets harder for them to be so one on one.
Anyway, if Eisley were to let fame go to their head, I'd knock in the noggin with a big wet sock....or something. Smile
