Holy space cows! I just heard this song for the first time and I LOVE it! It is so amazing, I had to make a thread about it. Most of you have already had this song for ever, I know, but my itunes stinks so I just finally got it.
Yea! Very Happy

I've loved this song since I first heard it in 2003 or so. I used to play the live version Boyd posted ages ago endlessly. It's great to have such a clean and cool sounding version out now.

it's on the "final noise" release on itunes, right?

there's two live versions too, btw. one's acoustic and sounds more like a studio take than at a concert. the other is more low-fi.

I thought the Final Noises one was a studio take. Hence the piano and all. I think there is also a live version on iTunes, and then yet another live version off of Boyd's camera, circa the Coldplay tour.

Thanks. I don't have my computer around me at work to figure it out myself.

ok after actually checking what i have, which would have been smart in the first place i have an acoustic version, with nothing that makes me think that it's a live version, a live version, which you can only tell by the clapping at the end, and the final noise version

Ohh, I bet that's the one from the Austin radio performance in 2003. I remember Boyd releasing that one. Either that, or it's another radio performance. They did an acoustic set on KUT radio in Austin just a week or two after I became a fan. I remember it fondly.

What is the (or is there a) difference between the iTunes Tree Tops and the one on Laughing City?

Actually, t is the third song (I think) on the Telescope Eyes single/EP. There is a considerable difference between versions. I don't prefer one over the other, but the iTunes Tree Tops is rather interesting production-wise.

Heh. I'm amazed I remembered what release it was on. There are so many songs to keep up with.
