Ha, that's awesome. And that's cute that she would think that Weston was in town. I expect that she would've been pretty dang surprised, had you been Weston.

And that Weston now has short hair, really short hair (after the Sherri-like haircut).

Ha, yeah. Hopefully she knows about that. Or she might be really surprised. Though it's not such a bad surprise, anyway.

i promise eisley is part of some sort of complex product placement scheme for starbucks as negotiated by the WB. think about it...it all makes sense. the trend here is that - if you're a friend of the band, you probably work for starbucks. or if you leave the band u work for starbucks. if you're in the band...you drink starbucks. if you get mistaken for someone in the band...you work at starbucks.

its product placement like mtv real world or something. but i don't mind. starbucks is good. i'm predicting a song about starbucks called "starbucks".

That's an interesting observation....
.......and frightening all at the same time. I bet "starbucks" would be their most upbeat song yet.

note: Oddly enough, I have been frequenting coffee shops, more often than not Starbucks, lately. Subliminally it's working.

One of the barista at the only local Starbucks calls me 'stretch', because I am quite tall. In fairness, I do have the speed and relative lank of Plastic Man or Mr Fantastic. I might be able to dodge bullets.

But I call him Captain Coffee.

I went to the local Starbucks yesterday mornin' to exchange US currency for a cup of scalding hot morning caffeine. Wouldn't you know it? They were playing Iron and Wine/Calexico's "In the Reins". How that did make my morning better.

And there is your anecdote.

I am proud of Starbucks. Here in Seattle, you can't get very far away from one. And I'm so happy that it's frappuchino weather again!

About 5 minutes from where I am currently is the second busiest one in the world, located just north of the University of Washington in University Village. So there's a little tidbit for ya.

Yep, either a Starbucks or a Tully's, both of which are Seattle-based. We have some SBCs too, but I don't see them that often at all. But can you imagine how hopped up on caffeine we Seattle college kids are?!

Man, this topic is making me want to jot across the street for a frap...

The closest one to me is like 2 hours away.

I love the rural south! :/

I have to go to second-rate coffee shops for chai that never ever ever ever tastes as good as it does from Starbucks... And you should see the girls' faces when I ask them if they could try to make a "green tea latte," claiming it can't be too difficult if they can make chai. "But only one of us and our mom knows how to do the chai latte..."

There's technically two Starbucks in my town, one is inside our collage. And one was recently built over by the truck stops.
Does anyone else think that it's kind of odd to build one there of all places? I mean...to me it'd seem like most truckers wouldn't really care if their coffee has whip cream in it or not. Rolling Eyes
