By the descriptions in the journal, it looks like they just may (have creative control). I don't know, I guess this is commenting EARLY and of course its all ignorant speculation but for real, I'm kinda excited/encouraged by some of the comments about eisley wanting to maintain their originality and not let themselves be transformed into just what's hot for the moment (*cough* Nelly furtado *cough* I'm all for reinvetion, and I like Nelly and I like that music but not sure what to think about that new stuff)

Back to Eisley. I want them to be big and I think they will be, but big in a non-annoying way. It sounds like they will craft another amazing record and will let their music and creativity speak for themselves.

I havent read up enough on this dooooood yet. I did however go to his website and found out he wrote the music to some hilarious early 90s comedys.

I like how he said Eisley has a musical language that hasn't come through completely in recordings..I agree.

He hung around with Danny Elfman and Steve Bartek, so that bodes well. Though he isn't Danny Elfman or Steve Bartek, so I'm not sure how it'll end up. It's still the same Eisley though, and I doubt he's afraid to get raw and sort of weird, considering the guys he's played music for.

i don't get it. who? the guy who composed the score to fat albert? huh? this is a musical "genius"? this is the man who eisley has been searching for? what?

i took a look at his website, listented to every clip, and came to one conclusion: he's utterly devoid of talent, skill, originality, or any other reedeeming trait, and has one of the worst websites ever. he's the composer the studios go to when they don't care whose composing the score.

i thought eisley cared?

He did the score for Clifford. That's pretty redeeming.

His score for The Honeymooners, surprisingly, reminded me of Danny Elfman's Forbidden Zone and Freeway style scores. Color me impressed, because that movie seemed to be a pile of crap.

Boyd's hype has me convinced. Especially the parts where he says various things were "totally a band decision." That's glorious to hear. I think this guy will do wonderful things for Eisley.
