Hey, I just joined so this is my first post in the eisleyBlog. Hooray! Very Happy

Okay, well I wanted to know if anyone knows what distortion Chauntelle or Sherri use in Telescope Eyes.

I'm trying to get a band together to play in May of '07 at the school Battle of the Bands and we want to open with it.

Hmm...and if anyone knows what kind of effects they use during the verses that would be great too. Razz

Thanks ! Very Happy

for eisley gear questions the best place to look is here, the orange gold and green gear page. it's out of date, but, it's all we have, really, that i know of.

anyways, to save you from having to click the link, that website says the girls use fulltone fulldrives and ibanez tubescreamers, which are, actually, more or less, the exact same thing.

That's awesome. I love girls that song, I think it's so hot. I might buy a good keyboard if I find guitarists with their own equipment. Still need to buy a big amp. I'll probably just borrow my friend's though. =]

Do you have a name for your band?

I have some lyrics but no complete songs.
We might also cover "Don't Speak" by No Doubt.

no we don't. we've thought up some names but not very good ones. Vintage Eyes was one. sounds kinda cheesy to me. we don't wanna get into it that much because we just started highschool. so we just mess around. i like to play Eisley songs a lot.

The girls tend to use the same distortion for all their songs. They tend to use Fulltone Full-Drive 2s and Ibanez Tubescreamers, but I believe Chauntelle started using a rackmounted preamp for live shows. The question's been asked a few times in some other threads:

Welcome to the forum. Make sure you dig through the older threads with the search tool to flex your information gathering prowess. We're silly with 'em.

Thanks for the info boone, I'll try to find it at a store soon! Very Happy

And Stephanie, what songs do you know how to play?
I try singing them a couple of octaves lower with my
guy voice and it's hard but comes out alright.

Are you talking about the Full-Drive? It's going to run you about 200 bucks. Check ebay, though, you can get good deals on pedals there.

I'm thinking about the Tubescreamer. I'll have to try it out at the store.
If not then I'll try out eBay. Shouldn't be much of a problem, just need to start working. Smile
