Doctor of Rock wrote: Rob only produced the last track on Odelay anyway, so it's pretty much a moot point Thanks for the info. I don't really know much about Beck or his recordings, so I was just making my points on the basis of what people here had said. And So Cal: I was just trying to explain why if you liked some of Nigel's work more than Rob's, that doesn't need to disappoint you with how Eisley's material will sound. I was just saying that it's not really relevant... |

heck, it's only a matter of time before Eisley bags Nigel (that's the creepiest sounding thing i've written today). if a measly band like Pavement can get him to produce, Nigel is sure to go for Eisley. _________________ My epitaph, should I ever need one, God forbid: 'The only proof he ever needed of the existence of God was music.' -Kurt Vonnegut "...dance when you forget to wear pants..." -Seanbaby |

why didnt I find this thread earlier. Anywho. I am really excited about the changes, although I am disapointed that aaron is not going to be a part of this album. I think that what he did with marvy things could not be topped. I understand why you would enjoy having rob as the producer, but I dont see why you would want him more than you would want arron. Umm I didnt hear much on the arron side of things. What what the deal with him, what was the deciding factor? Or was there none? Was it just a toss up where Rob finnaly won. I am unsure of things. _________________

yeah, Beck has a lot of unreleased stuff.......Truck on the Beck board has talked of some of it.....he's a close friend of Beck. the acoustic record i talked about another record's worth of Midnite Vultures like songs a rock album that he sheleved because of the "the" band explosion it was rumored he would put out another Sea Change-y album this past summer. you can never tell what he will do. that 's what i like about him i wonder what happened to the tape the band sent to Nigel? _________________ I am Torgo. Guess you guys know that Nigel knows of eisley and has heard their first ep, etc. This was around the time of V-fest...he liked it but his schedule was way too booked. He basically told management/label that he could do a few songs if they had wanted him to, but not a full length. But like you said, maybe the next one. _________________ EisleyWebGuy "The industrialists never saw the fruit of their own labor - Post Moderism, which I now proclaim as dead. at least there's a foot or at least a few toes through the door. just remember the possibilities of sheer awesomeness and the devastation they could cause... _________________ My epitaph, should I ever need one, God forbid: 'The only proof he ever needed of the existence of God was music.' -Kurt Vonnegut "...dance when you forget to wear pants..." -Seanbaby |
