I don't have a favorite, I can't choose.

Honestly, I don't know what all the "Lost at Sea" fuss is. I know it's pretty lo-fi, which I actually liked, but the chord progression and melody didn't strike me as the best thing Eisley's ever done.

I gotta go with Laughing City, because of the chorus.

I'm not denying that it's good...I definitely want to hear it in full form, I just don't see why everyone's wetting their pants over this little demo.

My favorite is probably "Memories," but since it's not in the poll choices, I can't vote for it... Crying or Very sad Wink

As for "Lost at Sea," I think it's a beautiful song, but I'm going to wait and see what they do with it in recording. The chorus is actually probably my least favorite part of it, although I do like it. It just comes in a bit too soon at the start, I think--something that can (and may or may not) be changed.

I wet my pants because I think it's really good especially considering it's only a demo. In fact...

I heard it live in concert twice and it didn't do a lot for me. But that little lo-fi demo version is actually moving to me... something I can't quite say about a lot of Eisley songs (although I like them a lot).

Besides, those people that can't make it to Eisley shows don't get a lot of new Eisley music very often. It's exciting to hear something new. Let us wet away!!!

Yeah, I'm pretty fond of Memories as well... but it's not there to vote for. My favorite Eisley song is still probably Over the Mountains though. Mmmm...

I like the musical ideas in "Over the Mountains" a lot, too, but it just lacks a bit of direction, I think. "Memories" has just hit me from the start, for some reason. I just love the underlying idea of the song, as well as the "journey" it goes through.

Memories always gets stuck in my head whenever I'm trying to write my
own song. So I can't think of anything but seeds and earth and the word
dreary.

Well, good music doesn't mean a big full arrangement ... Lo-fi demos are fine for me. But I didn't vote because if I had to pick one, it would be Golly Sandra or Sun Feet. I think ... well ... it's useless to pick one

I'm a bit biased because "Over the Mountains" is the first song I ever heard by Eisley... at the Houston Coldplay show, and I was sucked in from then on. I loved the lyricless chorus.

In "Memories", I really love the dialogue exchange between the husband and wife as portrayed by Stacy and Sherri near the end of the song. I've said before that I think it works so well because of the fact that it's two people singing the different parts. It's pretty awesome.

Yeah, that's a pretty amazing, powerful, unique part of the song. Probably my favorite part of the song is right before it goes into the second chorus, though. For some reason, it just hits me when Sherri sings "But her life is so beautiful, as memories continue to grow..." Anyway, great stuff... Smile

I really like that part as well. It has a lot of feeling behind it. Actually, I feel that way about all the parts where she hits higher the notes like, "I'm always wondering where you are."

I think we turned this into a "Memories" thread. But that's OK... since it's not a choice to vote for. Hmmm.

Yeah, the "I'm always wondering" part gets me, too. It DOES look as though this is a "Memories" thread now, hehe. Oh well... I'm finished singing my praises for the song--I could go on all evening, but there's no point. Wink
