Yeah, all those deleted threads. Billions! Except not... I delete about 3 threads a week, and it's all porn spam. Should we keep those? Same here. I love how there's apparently some barge in the middle of the sea with all of these unjustly whacked threads. Speaking of porn threads, I've got a long list of spammer names that need to be done away with. _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

Of all the threads that have been deleted in the two and a half years I've been a boardie, which ranges somewhere in the 20-30 thread range that had subjects that were slightly controversial about band members, why does this one still stand? And why is it still in Eisleyblog when its not even remotely about Eisley except for the title. Also how many times did a thread get started and the poster edit it then someone locks the thread and it disappears? I can think of 6, maybe 7 times on my hands. jackasses.... |

If you don't like it, feel free to leave (for good this time). Coming back every few weeks to post a few snarky comments isn't adding much to the community. _________________ |

I take it you're reacting to the "jackasses" part, in which case you should just edit it out with a warning for harsh language. Suggesting that one of the longest-running members of this forum leave for good just because he doesn't like how this thread was handled isn't adding much to the community, either. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

Well, there's an open door to talk to any of the mods about anything, but there's been little else to show for it but a year or so of passive aggression. I've seen more interest in snarky comments and talking behind backs than trying to do something productive. That said, maybe there needs to be some forum therapy someday? _________________ My photography:www.jamiemphoto.com You can't spell awesome without emo...backwards! -Julie definingawesome (11:44:11 PM): Eisley shivers our timbers |

Sorry, we're just an egalitarian brand of internet forum members, we feel that every thread has its purpose and should have its fate left up to the users. Don't get me wrong, all of us, even we few seeming dissenters appreciate your well crafted attack plan to prevent spam and illicit threads (I didn't even know anyone posted porn on here) but ultimately we can't get behind what seems like an inconsistent and unnecessary censoring of thread topics which may or may not feel "uncomfortable" for certain people. We've said this before, you've heard the same thing come from me, or Paul or whoever, but to quote gRegor "this is not a democracy, its a dictatorship" and hence we started our own forum where topics were free and mods were non-existent. It shouldn't be necessary. Nothing we do or say in earnest is defamatory or hurtful towards the band. We are not bad fans, nor do we say things "unbecoming of good fans" we simply act honestly as every person should be allowed to. Why am I or we seemingly snarky? Aside from the fact that that's just our sense of humor? That sarcasm and empty jokes on par with "i banged your mom last night" happen to make us chuckle? Nothing really. I can't actually think of a reason that I'm "snarky" hell I don't even think I am snarky. I'm pretty sure if you scan the last 10-20 posts i've made they've been fairly common place, hey I even wished Arielle a happy birthday in the wrong thread! HAHA! HILARIOUS! so there, i'm being constructive maybe, certainly not being snarky, now can I hang around for a while Luke? |
