Me, too! How can you not go with Stryper?! Shocked

Laughing Laughing

Growing up in the Mennonite church, any music with a beat was frowned on by the older folks, and the baby-boomer generation was just starting to catch on to Michael W. Smith and the like, so Stryper was a bit much for them. My two older brothers and I liked them (and some other Christian hard rock bands, such as Bride) long ago, before we discovered real good music, but they're still good for entertainment value. Very Happy

i'd agree on stryper... and in most cases i do, but i HAVE to go with skid row here. "youth gone wild" - the anthem of the 1980s a-typical teenager. i swear, i was meant to grow up during all of that.

Stryper all the way. I just saw them in October when they came through town on a reunion tour. They can still play the old songs and they haven't become fat, drunken idiots like many of the others in the poll. And thankfully they have stopped wearing the bee suits.

Their tour came within 10 minutes of my house, but I was busy that night Sad
