yes. indie 103.
it's so wrong, and yet so right.
www.indie1031.fm
funniest part of this:
it's clear channel owned and it's run by some spanish radio company.
thus, i say wrong.

edit: by the way, the basis of the music they play is this:
postal service like 134523452 times a day.
some lame punk wannabe bands.
cursive.
nirvana that no one cares about (the really old stuff no one remembers).
the faint (haha... wtf?).
lots of bowie and other 80s stuff.
and more lame punk (ie. afi).
thanks clear channel.

yeah dude i'm not down with it at all. albeit the first time i heard it, i didn't know about it and randomly heard bright eyes in my friend's car, and she proceeded to clue me in about "indie 103." but just the fact that it's owned by clear channel makes me gag. if i wanna listen to those bands i'll listen to them on my own schedule, not when some corporate office in texas decides i'm gonna listen to them, thank you very much.

clear channel=the devil

Im not seeing the big problem...true you may not like clear channel, but if you enjoy indie music and you want to listen to it...and its on the radio...why not listen on the radio. Its not like there is anything better on the radio.well..atleast not here. But yeah id atleast give it a chance before you shut it out because its own by an Evil radio company

it's basically like i'm not giving them my vote. i will be one less person tuned in to that station. i don't listen to the radio. the only time it comes on is when i'm switching cds. so i have no problem not listening to "indie" 103. that's all. Smile

I actually enjoy listeing to this station. Yeah, sometimes, the programs they have in general are lame. My favorite is probably the one they have on Tuesday night. I forget what it's called. Confused The one with the spanish alternative music. Very Happy

Who cares who it's owned by. If it's playing the jams you like, listen to it.

It's Southern California. You'd be amazed at how many stations are run by spanish radio companies (or, if you're near the border, how many stations are actually IN Mexico).

As for it being Clear Channel owned, what radio station in America ISN'T owned by them (that isn't already owned by Infinity Broadcasting)?

The more people who listen, the better their ratings. The better their ratings, the more advertising money they get. The more advertising money they get, the bigger ClearChannel gets. The bigger ClearChannel gets, the more radio stations they buy. The more radio stations they buy, the bigger the audience.

I haven't listened to the radio in years. My iPod replaced it. Now I don't need to support sucky global corporations who have drained the life out of so many once-great songs by overplaying them.
