dear LC,

i must know the answer to this pressing question. it seems to me that i have never actually met another person without siblings. i hear of them, but never meet them... i guess that Teddy and I are more rare than i first realized.
(though we are potent little gems)

please answer, it may help us to unravel the great mysteries of this universe.

love,
arielle

Wow really? I know a bunch of people that are only childs. I admire you more for being unique because all the interesting things that I do or that I'm interested in, I got from my siblings.

arielle!! i had no idea that you were spending time in my brain whilst i rode the bus home from work today!

to explain, i was staring out the window of the bus when the subject of siblings came into my head and how i have only one (but very lovely) sister and how i wished i had more siblings. then i thought of only children and what that would be like. one of the people i thought of was you since i knew you were an only child.

i was going to start a thread about siblings, how many everyone has and if they were happy with that number and why or wished for something different and why.

then i saw your oh-so-similar thread and started laughing to myself.

I have an older sister, a little brother who acts like my older brother, and a little sister.

Wow; I didn't realise this was such a rarity. So far only three of us are only children--me included? Surprised

I guess we ARE the onlys of the world.
