recently it's been called to my attention that i am somewhat of a freak. it all started like a week ago when i was cooking and i got one of my hands wet. then i said out loud that now i needed to get my other hand wet and i walked over to the sink and put my other hand under. my mom looked at me like i was crazy... so i am just wondering if anyone else does some of these things.

-if you get one hand wet, do you feel that you need to get the other one wet?
-lining up books on your desk so that they are parallel?
-books in your bookshelf have to go in order by height?
-cds cases by color?
-nail biting?
-consciously chewing evenly on both sides of the mouth?
-other strange behaviours?

If you try hard enough, you can call anyone a freak.

I don't think your a freak. Some people would say those are symptoms of being OCD, but I think you're just very into neatness.

I am totally anal about the order of my CDs, but it's not by color. They're ordered in an extremely esoteric fashion dictated first by my favorite artists, then by geographic location (again in a hierarchy based on favorites). When people take a CD off my CD rack they have no idea where to put it back. Laughing

I'm very anal about the organization of my mallet bag.

ha! there's a drummer like that at school. She also spends a considerable amount of time in the band room (study hall, lunch, skipping)

That's possibly one of the best kinds of bags.

It's just hard to explain to people why certain yarn mallets don't belong in the yarn mallet section.

My closet, from left to right -

Heavy coats
Dresses
Light coats
Jackets
Blazers
Button-down shirts
Normal shirts
Vests
Skirts
Pants

Each category is arranged by length. In effect, I have arranged the categories so that the longest articles are on the left, and the shortest are on the right.
It is my tiny organised vintage labyrinth.

We are creatures of habit. Some habits appear more formal than others. Strangeness is definitely in the eye of the beholder.

I'm OCD-ish when it comes to my DVDs, CDs and books. If someone moves them out of order [alpahbetical and then from oldest to newest] when I'm at college, I'll know and won't be able to sleep until I arrange them properly again.
