has anyone tried sibelius or other notation programs? I'm looking for a full featured program cause i want to do some eisley scores properly - you really can't produce proper scores with a tab.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Loooove Sibelius. I got a bootleg copy that was making it's rounds through my schools music wing, but it's a really expensive program otherwise.

hahahaha you admitted to being a pirate. Its ok, I won't tell anybody!

My frustruation with Sibelius is that guitar tablature doesn't really work right, like if you enter a quarter note on the the guitar, its actually a friggin quarter note even if you don't play that string again on the next note. It won't ring out until you muffle that particular string like a real guitar.

It is really intuitive and pretty compared to finale though. I REFUSE TO USE FINALE. I should just chalk up the $$$ and get it already - either that or do it the mozart way - use quills with manuscript paper. But then I would have to go chop down ...what is it, a turkey? Where do quills come from, thats an interesting question.

Use Guitar Pro. It works with pretty much everything. I've got Guitar Pro 5, and it allows you to use "real" sounds. So, a guitar, will sound exactly like a guitar. Anything instrument wise in an Eisley song should be in the program already.

I've used a sibelius demo and I liked it very much. I've also used a demo of finale and found it fairly user friendly as well.
