A quick questions...on which songs does Chauntelle sing on, and which part? I know she sings a part on ICBTFY but what else?

She has such a wonderful voice.

maybe Invasion too but just at the end though if you listen closely it sounds like Chauntelle, but then again Stacy sounds a little like Chauntelle at times

I have to be honest and say that I don't like it.
I LOVED Laughing City.
I LOVED Marvelous Things.
Room Noises was okay.
Combinations..not really my Spring Bear.
I think the only thing I like in this album is the song Combinations and the vocals.
I feel like this isn't like the old Eisley that I used to know and love.
But that's okay, I'm only one person, and change is to be expected.
I'm really happy for you guys because it seems like you're really doing what you want to (and enjoying it).
I still have love, but the ebb and flow is never the same, yeah?

hmm… i don't want to say too much 'til i hear it in full quality, and have time to let it grow on me, but my first impressions are: "nowhere near as bad as i feared, nowhere near as good as i hoped."

i do think it's really cool that whoever stuck it up there, well, stuck it up there, though. that should happen with more records (or, maybe it does, and i just miss it?)

I believe They were more affected by relationships and life,
moreso.
They are still Eisley; moreover, affected by growing experiences
(like We all have) ..which was set into Their music.

I mean, time has passed,
life kinda molds you quite shapely throughout The Years....

and you're not The Only One, no one is ever 'The Only One.'

....if that makes any sense.

...It's a grower.

I like it. I like it alot. Particularly Go Away.

Ten Cent Blues isn't all that everyone's pumpin' it up to be. It's not that amazing. Ok, maybe that's just 'cause there was banter over the top of it as my mum and i bought my return leg from London.

This DOES make me more excited for the 20th. I shall be cycling to town in my lunch break, doing the illegal thing by locking my bikeup outside the shop on the railings, and cycling back to work. And then London! Very Happy

Why are you stating this is fact? Ten Cent Blues is, in fact, all that everyone's pumpin' it up to be.
Your opinion is WRONG.

i'm so behind! i was in Ft. worth and just discovered this yesterday.
All I gotta say is...holy crap!
sure, it's different from room noises and i do kind of miss the story element to the songs, but dang. My favorites for the moment (probably will change tomorrow)

1. taking control
2. go away (especially the "i am holding you" part)
3. come clean
4. ten cent blues (it is all it's cracked up to be. and sherri's little twang is so cute)

I think my favorite part of Taking Control might be the acoustic intro, with Sherri singing "When we get down / We'll get up again...". So damn catchy. I could just listen to it looping over and over. This song overall is a lot better than I was expecting.

I'm so happy they're progressing. As much as everyone loves it, the "Moss" days need to be left in the past. They still feel very "Eisley" to me.

Alright, I couldn't resist. In defense I'll say that I will still try to buy the album somehow.

It's so amazing it left me speechless when I first listened to it and it's just gonna grow on me. I lovelovelove it. I can't wait to be alone at home so I can sing to it very loudly and make my neighbors deaf.
Great job Eisleys!

I think Go Away and Taking Control are the two weakest songs on the album. Taking Control starts out promising but seems to turn into a weak pop-rock type song by the chorus.
Many Funerals is probably my favorite. It has a Decemberists-like feel to it I think.
