I love the title of them being an "emo band", the misspelling of Stacy's name and the consistency of how the last names are written but good review none-the-less.

i'm not sure if i can do this but i'll type up the review from Entertainment Weekly. I looked on their site, but it wasn't posted.

review by Andy Greenwald:

Eisley consits of four tow-headed Texas siblings and their teen cousin, but unlike sterotypical family bands, their music is neither pathologically cheery nor intrinsically creepy. Rather, on their second CD, the DuPree kids expand their sound--contrasting soaring, Radiohead-aping vocals with big-bottomed progressive rock grooves. Singer Sherri has a flirtatious soprano able to glide from tunes about body snatching ("Invasion") to tales of body holding ("I Could Be There for You"). Thanks to her, even Eisley's far out moments seem intimate. B+. Download This: "Taking Control"

"Many of the bands love songs are still emo-esque, slow and melodic, reminiscent of The Sunday's Harriet Wheeler, only the listener benefits from having both Staci and Sherri belting out notes as opposed to a single vocalist -- even one as talented as Wheeler. Tracks like "Come Clean," and "If You're Wondering" boast the bands simple, catchy pop hooks and capitalize on the hauntingly sweet vocals."

That paragraph has many errors. Rolling Eyes

grammar Nazi.

It's in my newest myspace blog, or rather it is my newest myspace blog.

I'm not very good at this whole "link" thing so if that doesn't work, then my name is: "I Was A Fascinator" and my URL is:

http://www.myspace.com/expectedperfection

I would like to see what fellow fans think about my sentiments.

For ardent fans of the last album, "Combinations" might be a disappointment. Anyone hearing Eisley for the first time on this record should find it to be a delightful indie pop disc.

this is from the 2nd review. I don't get it...whats so dissapointing about this one? i suppose they expect more of the same from each cd instead of change?
