In the scope of control, a scrub from the album turning up as a bonus on iTunes is pretty minor compared to them keeping control of the albums. And so on. But that's such a deep and complicated issue.

It's not legally complicated anyway. But it sure is morally complicated.

To get deals with these online retailers (itunes, napster, etc.) you must provide them with an exclusive. My band recently had to record 3 versions of 4 different songs just so Napster has a different take than Itunes which has a different than Sirius radio. Yeah it's really stupid and the band really has no say...

It's no one's fault but commerce...if you feel that ripped off, it's online somewhere for free. Join the rest of us.

I just had to pay TuneCore $30 to get my stuff on iTunes, Napster, eMusic, Rhapsody, and Sony Connect. Sucks to be signed! Wink
