++++++++++++++++++

I went to the 7 o'clock
Highlights include:
-Hearing Christie sing (she was really good)
-Hearing Chauntelle sing (she was reall good)
-Hearing the rest of the band(they were really good)
-Wesley Jensen & co. (Was it just me or was he wearing woman's clothes?)
-When the aforementioned Wesley Jensen and co. invaded during "Invasion"
-Haley Joel Osment. He was there.
- "Sea King"!!!!!!!!!!
-Watching ardent fans chase Eisley and HJO down the sidewalk, finally sending the young child with them to guilt Chauntelle into an autograph. Rolling Eyes

I wish I had pictures. It was a fantastic show. The food was pretty good too.

Sounds pretty great.

Chauntelle is so nice she was probably like "Ok!"

I went to the late show, and it was great!
It was also my first Eisley show.
I got pictures which can be seen HERE if anyone wants to see.
I have tons more from the night but I reached my limit for this month on flickr. Embarassed

Sherri sounds great on the records, but my golly she sounds ten times more fantastic live!
I loved the little banter between them too. Very Happy

I'm glad everyone that went really enjoyed it! I really thought about going, but I really really hate driving to New York and didn't feel like stressing myself out. I have tickets for the MuteMath show in OH, but I really really wanted to go to an acoustic show. Anyway... I'm glad it was goood, but sad I couldn't be there Sad Sad

During the 11:30 show, Eisley announced that a guy from Rolling Stone is in the audience. Perhaps we'll have a review soon?

This led into banter about RS's coined term "Unicorn Barbie Rock", and how they liked it, even though RS didn't really like them. Sherri brought it up again when relating a story about "Sea King" and to nevermind the lyrics. ("It's about a Mer-King. Mermaid King. Unircorn Barbie Rock, right? Very Happy " ) It was the perfect encore.

The 7:30 show was a blast... Sea King as an encore was perfect.

I'm thinking "Trolley Wood" with mass-crowd-clapping would've been a better, finale, but I'm biased.

YES! yes yes! i was thinking the same exact thing. its such a crowd song. like a big sing along would have been a perfect end. esp bc its an acoustic show. and you dont even need instruments! so itd be ok that weston and garron werent there

I went to the 7 o'clock show...and the fans in question were only about 12 or 13 years old. I watched them run down the sidewalk; clearly they were in high spirits (perhaps too much sugar) and the young girl was with them. It seemed they had no intention of actually approaching Chauntelle (they only wanted to photograph her walking away) but the girl approached her first. Altogether a pretty amusing sight. Laughing

Fantastic show, of course. I had no idea their voices sounded so heartfelt and powerful off the cd! Really, it blew the cds out of the water.

The Eisley show was definitely a bright moment sandwiched between two horrible travel experiences on Greyhound.

I took a bus with my boyfriend from DC, ended up breaking down for 3 hours on the Jersey Turnpike. On the way home our bus that was supposed to leave at 1:30 am didn't leave until 3:45 am.

I got all my pictures on my computer, but I am too tired to go through them all (all 450!) and decide which ones to put on my flickr. They'll be up tomorrow.

Anyway, it was a really great show!

Your pictures are great! I'm sorry your travel experiences were so lame. Make sure to tag them Eisley so everyone looks at them!

Thank you Jamie! That means so much coming from you, the master of concert photography. haha

Yeah I'm going to tag them once I get all of them up. And I'll probably post a couple in this thread too.

EDIT:

Wesley Jensen came up on stage wearing masks and capes during "Invasion"

You can see them all at my flickr.
