It doesn't sound like Sherri and Chauntelle are on a consistent speaker throughout Combinations. Example (possibly not the best one but it's what comes to mind) Live (video, they didn't play it when I saw them) I saw Chauntelle play the opening of Ten Cent Blues and on the album it's in the left speaker. Live I saw Sherri play the beginning of Many Funerals and on the album that's on the left too. So I don't know how it's worked out. Maybe I got something mixed up though. Not sure! |

I'm not sure what you are trying to say, you mean like who's panned to what channel in the stereo mix (left or right)? I don't normally worry about consistancy between songs for that sort of thing. In a live setting, I'm guessing everything is panned to the center. _________________ EisleyForever wrote: you're A-list in my heart! MAKECOLDPLAYHISTORY |

Yea, left or right speakers. I don't know why I didn't say that. |

I thought Michael Bethencourt played the intro and other accent parts on the recording of Ten Cent Blues. That is interesting about the consistancy of the instrument locations though. I used to notice these sorts of things, but mainly for the drums. On some albums the drum rolls from high to low toms were from the drummers perspective and on others from the audience's. _________________

But if Chauntelle was meant to play it live I would still consider it her part. So in theory if it was consistent it would be on the side Chauntelle's speaker would be. Maybe? |

Yeah, if they are trying to create pretty closely what the live performace will be like they should be on the side they will be on when you see them. That's the way most albums are I think. But they're free to change it up if it sounds better for some reason I guess. _________________

They did for the first couple stops in Boise and Portland, I think it wasn't long after that when they stopped, though. Both nights it took one practice start before the real start. I still really enjoyed it though, and my mom said it was her favorite (she didn't listen to them until the show, now she loves though and listens to them all the time). |

Actually I noticed that too. I remember being almost perplexed about it and thinking during the Many Funerals intro on the album "Wait, something's not right?! That's CHAUNTELLE'S side, SHERRI should be on the right"....Then I got over it. |
