There used to be fights over how that didn't mean 12,000 people signed up for this forum (or whatever the number was at the time). Of course 12,000 people haven't registered, but it's still a great number. It has me listed as 1002, but I was really 997 or 998, and something funky happened with the forum rebuilding and it pushed me ahead a few numbers. One of the things I used to motivate myself to sign up for a forum that I was content just lurking on (I had never posted more than 15 times on anything), was that I could be in the first 1,000 members. ha ha. And yeah, there are a lot of duplicate names. A LOT.
