Do they even let you if in you're with a parent at a 18+ show?

Or if they wait in line with you maybe? And talk to them in person. You might have a better chance if they can see that it's actually your parent and not someone over the phone. But I have no idea about it.

I posted this on some other thread.
Their toronto show(its 19+) is on the 29th and my birthday is on the 30th. Maybe with a lot of begging they might let me in?

Who here hates the tour dates so far? One day in Los Angeles and it's on a Thursday? I hope they can possibly add or change some dates. Unless of course I miss my one and only class on Friday which starts at 7 in the morning.

ME! Sad I hate to complain because there's nothing anyone can do about it, but I can't even describe how disappointed I am and so jealous I am of those who are going to be able to make more than one show. I most likely won't be able to do even one.

I'm REALLY hoping some Cleveland date (or Pittsburgh?!? Yeah right) opens up. I'm 99% sure it won't looking at the dates (*cough* April 22 *cough*). The only possibility is a 4 hour drive to D.C. in the middle of the week and I know I won't find anyone who will be willing to take that with me. Crying or Very sad Ugh, so disappointed. *public pity party over*

EDIT: Nevermind. A date was added for 4/22... only in NJ! Why three dates in pretty much the same area?!?

Phone or go to the venue beforehand and ask whether or not they would let you in. They're a lot more likely to listen to reason when they aren't being mobbed by a crowd waiting to get in to see the show.

Right, and if that doesn't work maybe try PMing Boyd and explaining it to him. Maybe he could pull a string or two?

i remember in a past topic about one of the tours someone mentioned that if a show is 18+ and you get your parents to call ahead they might let you in. is that correct?

i'm a year and a couple months short Sad

Boston's lack of all-ages venues is insane. I know how you feel; this will be my first "hometown" (ha) Eisley show because of it.

I've never been to that venue, either. It's 21+ which isn't good news for me, but some national acts are all ages so I'm hoping that's the case with Eisley. *crosses fingers*

Oh, 21+? That counts me out. Hopefully it's different for Eisley. Wouldn't that hurt them, to be 21+? That cuts out a huge portion of their fan base.

yea, im worried about that. I've been pulling for a show here for years and we finally get one, and im probably going to wind up in austin anyway.

1. never heard of the place, could have horrendous sound, etc.
2. smoking/smokey places+ asthma=crap
3. its probably during finals

I'm pretty pissed that there is no Ohio date, but I get to see Radiohead for free this summer. So I can't really complain.

It's a really pretty place from what I can remember, but the area isn't anything to write home about, but really, can you ever be overjoyed with venue areas? haha. I hope you get to go! I may end up going to that one because I am really not a big fan of the 9:30 Club (bad bad memories there) and the D.C. show is on a Monday and I have class the next morning. Sad

Here is their website if it helps any: http://www.r5productions.com/

Oh cool, thanks for the website! I looked up some stuff this morning right after I posted that and it looks like a decent place. And when I mapquested the address I realized that it's near a museum that I went to a year ago that I thought was in an okay part of the city. There's a lot of buildings and stuff surrounding it that I recognize so that makes me feel a little better.
Sorry, I'm not trying to bombard you with a ton of questions, but do you remember where you parked (if you drove). There looks to be a couple of parking lots around the church (hooray for mapquest satellite images, ha) so I'm guessing that's where everyone parks or is it just street parking?

Aww, well I hope you make it to at least one of those shows! That's quite a dilemma you've got there!

You're welcome!

I'd say your best bet is to use one of the parking lots, but definitely check their times/prices and such things (obviously ha). Usually finding street parking anywhere can be a pain, but maybe you'll be lucky! Especially if you get there in time.

And thank you!

I am torn with what to do, and what I CAN even do. Blah!
