Ok, so remember this thread?
http://www.eisley.com/laughingcity/viewtopic.php?t=33650

I've spent the last several days uploading Eisley info to a bunch of sites.
Some were already equipped with info.
However, I know this is asking a lot, but it would really benefit your band Eisley, if you guys can go an join these blogs, as an Eisley fan.
I don't know how it all works, but you guys do.

Here is the list....I hope you guys can find some time.
Sincere Thanks! Smile

Thank you Kim for saying 'your' band Eisley. It gives me a feeling of inclusion! Like all of us, I think of Eisely as being MY band. An awful lot of people I come in contact with know that about me by now! Anyway I've perused the sites you've listed and I'm going to get to work on them. Thanks!

Thanks! It's not just because I'm related to the band that I feel like their music is special. It's because it really is special. I don't know of another band out there that makes me feel the way Eisley's music does, and with the music industry the way it is, I feel like Eisley has not been given the attention, or promotion that it should have. Not one song put to radio???? For real? Rolling Eyes
I've said many times, if the girls had gotten boob jobs, and slutted out, they would be mega stars, but they chose to stay true to themselves, and their music.
Eisley fans really have been the lifeline, the heart of what has kept them in the light that they do have. All of us in the DuPree house know, love, and appreciate the fan love and support.

Thanks for the links ... I'll see what I can do. The only one I was registered on was Last.fm, and I at least said I'm attending two shows. Laughing

But I'll check out the other stuff, for sure.

I signed up for that reverb one, and I'm already a last.fm member. Hooray.

This is a little off-topic, but since you pointed out that no songs have been put out to radio . . . what does that even mean any more?

In this day where anyone can instantly download any song by itself, what's there to stop a radio station (or Clear Channel) from playing any song off any album at any time? Do radio stations really have to sit around waiting until a music company sends them an official "single"?

It doesn't make sense to me that anyone in the industry still cares when a "single" is officially released (although they evidently still do, as shown by the fact that U2 won a Grammy in two different years for singles from the same album).

Also your girls (and boys) can look themselves in the mirror each morning and know they have gotten this far purely on merit and talent. Stay true to yourself and the rest will follow. I bet anything that Britney now wishes she knew how to say no years ago.

Bravo to them.

My cynical view of the world is that fame in the entertainment industry is like power in politics. Many of the people who become famous, and many of the people who become powerful politicians, are the very ones who sold their souls to gain the whole world. There are always exceptions, of course, but too often that seems to be what it takes.

will do kd!

Is the idea to be viable enough to make great music, record it, tour for it a bit, make enough from merch and touring to do it every year or so and a little bit extra to put away in an IRA account and go to Disney World every other year? Simple! Razz who needs a record company anyways.

I think everyone in the band might be interested in a BeenUp2. Its a website where you can upload pictures by e-mailing it directly to their server and it will show up. Here's my page for an example:

I'll see what I can do.

I'm thinking of creating a European Eisley website (english, french and italian) since Eisley Italy isn't such a huge success we'll see Wink

When the Spitzer story broke I told Boyd to post this on Trollywood:

'Seriously guys, this is ridiculous. Eisley has spent years making great music and avoiding being NAKED, signs to a major label and still we are broke. Here comes a misspelled DUPRE interloper HOOKER governor taker-downer who makes $200,000 in one day. Well, smack my forehead and call us BOOBS! Here's a FREE SONG song for her: Go Away " (hyperlink)"

He got my point and purpose but refused to do it. At least it was good for a laugh.
I still think it would have worked!
