So I have a ticket to the Austin show. Now however I was asked to take on a job that interferes with this show.

My question: What time will Eisley go on?

Doors open at 7pm. I assume the show starts at 8pm. The Envy Corps, Vedera, and The Myriad play. Does anyone have a guess as to when Eisley will go on? And maybe how long they'll play?

I am just wondering if it will be worth running over to Antones after my show is over or if I should give my ticket away.

I don't know about US shows but here, if a door opens at 7, a band usually comes on at 7:30/7:45 and each support gets a 30 min slot more or less...45 for the mian support.

Well, according the website the show does start at 8. I guess it's just a question as to how long the openers play.

My tentative guess is that Eisley won't be on until 10. Three openers, 20- to 40-minute sets, and breakdown/setup time in between means a big delay. Plus, shows almost never starts on time anyway.

This is especially true during the first few shows of a tour before anyone's gotten into a real routine.

I agree with what all of ^ said. I just saw The Mountain Goats in NYC and the doors were at 8, but The Mountain Goats didn't go on til 10, and that's with just one opening act! The opening band went on at 8:45 and played til 9:45 and then it took 15 minutes for the headliners to come out. It was horrible, because we had to leave at 10:30 to take the last train back to my house. I hate NJtransit. If we had missed the 12:45 train we would have had to wait til 6 am for the next one.

Aww, I'm so jealous. I tried to get tickets to that, but I think it was sold out.

I might have to go to the Eisley show in NYC alone so I'm hoping it doesn't end that late. :/

Hmm, ok. So let's say it takes 15 minutes in between each band to set up. That's 8:45. Add 30 minutes per opening act since I really have no idea how much they'll get; that's an hour and a half. So 10:15.

Let's just say this makes me happy.

The opening band was horrible, but from what I saw The Mountain Goats were great! I live in north Jersey near NYC, but at school I'm closer to Philadelphia so I'm going to see Eisley there. I might also get a chance to see them in Hoboken, but it depends if I can get a ride or not since I don't have my car at school. Hopefully you'll be able to find out on here how long the shows are lasting and be able to plan accordingly!
