I went to the lawrence final noise show with an ex-girlfriend. it wasn't too bad. yeah..it shouldn't be too bad minus the hour and a half car ride both ways..it's times like these I wish I weren't so directionally challenged so I could drive myself..lol http://maps.google.com lol..a map wouldn't even help me out I don't think..besides who would want to drive all by themselves? *sigh...* I will be... aww..I'm sorry..but hey..you will at least still be there..and maybe not dealing with the awkwardness of spending the day with your ex.. Hahahaha, oh man...that would be the epitome of awkwardness... or violence...one of the two...egads. _________________ Trying to find my way around a dark life, always breaking the important things... |

just got back. great show...a little/a lot low on audience (Huge KU basketball game). It took me 30 minutes to get out of Lawrence (should have taken about 5) because the street the venue is on was full of fans running around shooting off fireworks and screaming. Something changed in the setlist. no blackened crown. in place of that, Stacy and Sherri belted out a great If You're Wondering. Thankfully this time Tolleywood wasn't demanded. A few highlights; towards the end of Come Clean, Stacy forgot where the band was and started singing "Mister I'm not afraid of you" when it was supose to be going into the bridge and it made for a good laugh and of course, Christie did a great job. Chauntelle didn't sing with The Envy Corps this time. There were a few people there shooting with some pretty nice video cameras. They were only there for the first four or five songs. Look for those videos to pop up somewhere hopefully. I'm sure Nora or someone will fill in some more...I'm off to bed. |

Oh my gossssh. SO GOOD. Let me say first: Stacy gave me a sip of her hot chocolate. It was yummy. The show was pretty freakin' great. The second the last song was over and KU won! So the low turn out wasn't for nothin'! Haha. I saw Garron's sis Madison and went to say hi and say I know Abbie and Sophie. She asked my name and she's like "Oh Patrock!". Haha. I talked to Boyd a bunch. Hung out with Sully. Anne's friend Shawn meet up with us at like 6:30ish. After the show we talked to Boyd again. Then we talked to Garron for a long time. He remembered me too! Everyone one knows me! Mark knew me too. Then Garron led us backstage to then outside to the bus. We hung out with the band and took pictures for a bit. Sherri remembered me a little too and Chauntelle. Talked to Boyd again. Then we went to see the mess on Mass St. CRAZY. Oh god. The drunk girls! How could I forget!! I'll have pics up (maybe some video)soon. About the opening bands...they were good but just played for too long and there were too many of them. The merch guy kind of...well...nvm... |
