By God's Divine Grace I just happened to be flipping past VH1 Sunday and caught the debut video of a newly reunited New Kids on the Block called Summertime.

I was blown away by the creativity of the video.

It introduced new standards in pop music video making such as:

-Male singer on beach with hot chick in bikini
-Male singers at party with hot chicks

I cannot lie though.
A much younger Thomas did in fact own not 1, but 4, NKOTB albums.
(actually i think they're still in my box with all my old cassettes)
somewhere Maurice Starr is crying...

Back when NKOTB released their last album, and officially made their name "NKOTB," David Letterman mentioned it, and said something like "I wonder if they are still L-A-M-E."

i think it's a smart business decision for the band members.
none of them are doing much now really.
i have no idea what they spent on recording, etc, but i would think they could easily make profit and probably fill relatively big sized venues in major cities at the least.

as far as furthering the cause of pop music, having not heard any other than the single, i doubt seriously they will and would go with craptacular (i don't even remember how i spelled that).

but i voted business.

they could probably tour for a while and then chill a couple years and depending on how the record does, do another record, tour, etc. at their own leisure.

someone else needs to admit they owned an NKOTB album.

i guess i liked Hanging Tough so much that i sought out the self titled album that came out before they hit it big. then i had the Christmas album and Step by Step. they faded really fast though. i had no idea about the album as NKOTB.

i think i was in 5th grade or so when the mania was going on. i remember the girls at school would each have their favorite one and one even had this huge button - so big it came with it's own stand to sit on the desktop.

i can remember jamming out to Hanging Tough at the skating rink.
