Very compatible aesthetics- 'specially if S. plays a bunch of Dreamhouse-era stuff. Perfect intergenerational combo- a bit like the Dixie Chicks playing with Emmylou. Add a Throwing Muses reunion for perfection (or at least Kristin Hersh- 50 foot Wave's probably a bit on the hard side though). The Peekers and The Theatre Fire would open. Why not make it a festival- Add: Hope Sandoval Cowboy Junkies Beach House Augustana In a different direction: Manu Chao ...it'd never happen, but would be very cool. Here's another good one for something matching Eisley's engaging, infection quirkiness and melodic charm: The Fiery Furnaces would be an epic matchup! Or the next New Order Reunion (when Hook and Summer kiss and make up again- inevitable when they next run out of money and decide they have more to gain from touring than spatting) Or why not Yo La Tengo? |

The thought occurs to me that the vast majority of the bands that Eisley SHOULD tour with from a musical/market/fanbase standpoint probably wouldn't be "lifestyle compatible" with the Duprees (not that I know any of them- making assumptions here). Likewise the corollary; most that would be "lifestyle compatible" aren't a good match musically. Funny that- puts them in a bit of a weird position. |

The funny thing is that I was listening to A Kiss In a Dreamhouse as I read the post. _________________ Power is only pain It’s probably better to have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in.
