Would be interesting to have a poll attached to this thread to find out how many people still like their name, so far the replies are filled with regrets. Laughing Good thread, I've wondered where some of these names came from.

comes from the name of my favorite sp album. (also the first album i owned myself, as far as can recall.)
and my name is melanie, mel for short which led to the nickname "melon head" in first grade. which is like "mellon."
its my aim sn so i kept it for this, i must've been an angsty 13 year old when i made the sn... but i still like it, most of the time...

My name is Melanie and I got the whole "melon head" thing in elementary too (my head actually is very round haha), and my friends called me Melon in high school.

Ecouter ... it's french for "to listen." I don't know why I chose it, cuz folks, that was over 3 and a half years ago. And do I still like it? I really don't think much about it being my username anymore... it's okay, I suppose. I can't really think of anything I'd replace it with.

So there you go. Wink

There's this old freestyle BMX flatland trick called an Antrider ... I used it for my second-ever e-mail address (and first creative one), and I still use it, actually. Years and years later, I signed up on here and thought it fit, though I added "The" to it, just because it seemed to work. Boy, did that stick!

Really, Jamie got his name from the scene in Honey, I Shrunk The Kids where the kids ride the ant. He just wanted to look cooler with the BMX explanation.

I didn't know you could add a Poll after you posted.
I thought I had tried before but didn't see the option.

when you edit a post, its at the very bottom to add one. you just fill it out. it's the same as if you were adding a poll to the original post.

Had I the option, I would've changed my username four years ago.
