You suck, Warner Bros! Actually some of them are pretty good That's not a fan-made live video, and Fearless Music probably owns the rights to the videorecording, so it hasn't been removed. Yet. Still a good clip, though. _________________ INTELLECT AND ROMANCE OVER BRUTE FORCE AND CYNICISM Smokemonster |

I tried to re-upload my stupid video "ApacheVsEisley". I didn't mention Eisley or A Sight To Behold anywhere in the description or tags but it came up on my video list with a warning that the audio was removed for WMG copyright infringement even before it had completed processing and became viewable! I even uploaded it as a private video instead of public. I wonder how it got caught so fast. I guess it was the title but the words were all run together. No biggy but they're really on top of this. _________________

YouTube is partners with Audible Magic... which is a copyright filtering technology. If you add the audio onto a video, it's caught during the upload process which involves scanning the audio for any copyrighted matches. Also, I guess that's why fan recorded live videos from concerts aren't being removed. Audible Magic can't match the songs in their live forms. _________________ |

The strangest thing is that my fan video was taken down along with all the others and it was sad because I have permission from Boyd to use the audio. I disputed the claim and miraculously they put the video back up! The dispute is still "pending" but I get the feeling that they'll never get around to reviewing it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=We3QdzCl7u8 Boyd has been very kind in trying to get the record company's written permission for me even though he's still having trouble with his own videos. Until Boyd get those official videos back up, my video is the first result when you type "eisley" on Youtube. It's been good for me, as I made it to try to get real music video work. It's paid off already, I'll shoot a $15,000 music video for a country artist this weekend and another next month. |

Her name is Sarah Darling, she's had very limited coverage by the media in the past, but the record company is dumping hundreds of thousands of dollars in to her image right now in hopes that she'll be plastered all over CMT. http://www.myspace.com/sarahdarlingmusic Here's hoping. |
